Townsend has found a spot in the starting XI and has played well now scoring and assisting in his last two matches. He'll also be happy with this performance as he was facing one of his former clubs today. Look for him to continue to start as Spurs' weakest position is in the midifield. Look for Townsend to be in the starting XI next Sunday when Tottenham take on Manchester United.

Townsend has been on and off the starting XI this season and has been effective in limited time, grabbing two goals and an assist in just six games. Townsend has actually received more starts in the Europa League then in the Premier League and it remains to be seen exactly what Spurs' have in mind for Townsend. If he continues to play like this he has surely earned more playing time. Townsend and Spurs' take on one of his former teams in QPR this Saturday in a match he'll surely want to start once again.
