Townsend is in the squad for Sunday's match against Everton, the Tottenham Journal reports. Manager Tim Sherwood said Hes done enough training now for us to be confident that he can be dropped back into the squad. Hes looked magnificent."

Townsend hasn't played since facing West Ham in the Capital One Cup back on December 18, but he'll be a nice boost for a Spurs side that will be without Sandro in the middle of the field. Whether Townsend returns to the starting XI won't be known until Sunday.
