Amarikwa was traded to the Earthquakes on Friday in exchange for Ty Harden, MLSSoccer.com reports.

Amarikwa was getting very inconsistent playing time with the Fire, and while he's not guaranteed to start immediately for the Quakes, the path to playing time seems a bit more open.

Amarikwa picked up an assist on David Accam's 28th minute goal during Chicago's 3-1 loss to D.C. United on Wednesday.

Amarikwa got the start Wednesday, just his second in the last seven matches, and picked up his first assist of the year. With a number of better fantasy options on the roster, it's tough to make a great case for Amarikwa to be on many fantasy teams despite taking 11 shots in the last four games.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Amarikwa has been one of the stories of the season so far, and it continued Saturday as he netted his third goal for the Fire as they earned a 1-1 draw with Montreal.

Q was a super sub for the Fire last year, but he has seized his chance to start. He is a definite fantasy asset, but his price tag is going to start to soar.

Amarikwa grabbed his second goal of 2014 in the 82nd minute to steal a 2-2 draw for Chicago in D.C on Saturday.

Chicago, as has been in the case in the last couple of seasons, spread their scoring across the entire roster. But Amarikwa has shown in brief stints with Toronto and Colorado that he can dump in some goals when his number is called. If he gets 80 to 90 minutes per game, he could emerge as a giant weapon for the Fire.

Amarikwa netted in the second half to firm up Saturdays's 2-0 win in Coloardo's MLS opener against Columbus.

Big things should be expected of Amarikwa this season. He came on as a substitute in the second half, but putting the ball in the net will make him a starter in short time for a Colorado side that had trouble scoring consistently a year ago.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Amarikwa netted the lone goal for Colorado in Saturday's 1-0 win over Chivas USA.

Amarikwa joined the Rapids last April, but did not play a whole lot, and only scored once in 14 games. Now in 2011, it's not even April and Amarikwa has a winner under his belt.
