Jelavic snatched the consolation goal on two shots (one on target) and picked up one cross, one dribble and one key pass in 45 minutes off the bench in the 2-1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle on Saturday.

Jelavic Sniffed out a bad backpass from Chancel Mbemba to his goalkeeper and stole the ball to punch in his first Premier League goal in nearly a year. He was very active and had a great game for his standards. Enner Valencia will probably continue starting upfront, nonetheless, which will limit Jelavic's fantasy production to a minimum.

Jelavic was left unused sub in the 2-0 home victory versus Liverpool on Saturday.

Jelavic is third up in the strikerís depth chart behind Enner Valencia and Andy Carroll. Now with the potential returns of even more offensive weapons for the Hammers he may even struggle to get a spot in the 18-man squads. Look far and away from here for fantasy sleepers and hidden gems.

Jelavic (knee) is expected to be available for Saturday's match against Liverpool.

Despite the possible return to fitness, Jelavic will find significant playing time hard to come by, with Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia both fit.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jelavic hauled in an assist off one key pass and added a cross in 28 minutes of play off the bench in the porous 4-1 loss to Tottenham on Sunday.

It was a fine pass from him to take Manuel Lanzini on a scoring position but other than that nothing spectacular in a poor Hammersí game. The Croatian hasnít had a single start or a goal this season. Heís not a fantasy factor off the bench.

Jelavic signed with West Ham on Tuesday after transferring from Hull City.

Jelavic was a decent goal scorer for the Tigers last season, but it wasn't enough to keep them from being relegated. He had eight goals in 26 appearances (21 starts) last season and will likely start up front alongside Diafra Sakho until Enner Valencia and Andy Carroll return from their injuries.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jelavic had a lackluster season, scoring just eight goals and adding one assist in 29 appearances as Hull were ultimately relegated.

The Croatian missed significant time after suffering a series of knee injuries and wasn't ever able to string together a good run of form. Jelavic has stated that he would like a year-long loan deal after the Tigers' relegation, but the club's owners are actively looking to sell the 29-year-old.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jelavic returned to Hull City's Starting XI during Saturday's 2-0 loss to Tottenham. He led the team with four shot attempts before being subbed off in the 62nd minute.

When in the lineup, Jelavic continues to lead the Hull City in shot attempts. He will likely be included in the Starting XI for Hull City's final match of the season against Manchester United.
