Jenkinson (knee) has been confirmed to have suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury and will be out for at least six months, according to manager Arsene Wenger.

The defender's loan to West Ham has been cut short and he has returned to Arsenal for his recovery. Jenkinson had 20 total appearances (13 starts) for the Hammers, thus far, this season along with two goals but he lost out his starting role with the team of late and his absence won't affect many fantasy rosters.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jenkinson suffered a serious knee injury during Saturday's match against Manchester City, and he will be examined again Wednesday to determine how much time he will miss.

Jenkinson, who is on loan from Arsenal, actually lost his starting job recently, so while his extended absence is surely a hit to the Hammers' depth, it's unlikely to affect too many fantasy rosters.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jenkinson left Saturday's match against Manchester City after picking up a knock.

Jenkinson has found regular playing time very tough to come by lately, and with Sam Byram available, he'll fall deeper down the depth chart.

Jenkinson provided three crosses and scored an own goal in Monday's 2-1 win over Southampton.

Luckily the Hammers were able to overcome Jenkinson's piece of misfortune, as they scored a pair to take the three points. The 23-year-old had begun the last three matches on the bench, but he put in a strong performance in a crucial game despite the blunder. With Aaron Cresswell currently injured, Jenkinson could start again at fullback versus Liverpool on Saturday.

Jenkinson scored in Saturday's 3-1 win at Crystal Palace.

Jenkinson latched onto a Victor Moses pass to slot home in the 22nd minute after losing his marker Wilfried Zaha. Jenkinson then gave away the penalty in the 25th minute that put pay to the visitors' hopes of a clean sheet. Moses also assisted Jenkinson's first goal of the season against Sunderland although they aren't a combination that can be relied upon due to Jenkinson's defensive responsibilities.

Jenkinson scored from his lone shot on goal but also picked up a yellow card in the draw with Sunderland on Saturday.

The Arsenal loanee had his best game with his new outfit. He was very active offensively with the Hammers playing from behind for the most part of the game. His goal came on a vicious shot from the penalty spot area after a Victor Moses assist from the left side. Next up is a tough visit to Selhurst Park where he may be called mainly upon defensive duties unless Crystal Palace takes the lead early.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jenkinson picked up a straight red card in a 4-3 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday.

West Ham's defense was putrid Saturday and Jenkinson provided to the futility with a poor tackle to get sent off in the 79th minute. He'll miss next week's match against Liverpool on Saturday, barring an appeal that likely won't be overturned.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jenkinson is available for Saturday's match against Leicester City after sitting out the opener against Arsenal per terms of his loan agreement.

Jenkinson starts a majority of last season at right back opposite Aaron Cresswell, and he'll likely slot into the role this weekend, though the solid play of 16-year-old Reece Oxford against Arsenal could give manager Slaven Bilic pause before he makes a decision.
