Wickham is still not 100 percent fit after recently recovering from multiple injuries, but he is healthy enough to play and could start Saturday against Newcastle.

Wickham started Monday against Sunderland and wasn't able to do much, but with Marouane Chamakh also not 100 percent, and without a full preseason, Wickham is likely to start against Newcastle.

Wickham will be available for Monday's match against Sunderland.

Wickham, who has missed much of the season with a calf injury, will feature against Sunderland. He's played in just four matches this season, returning to the bench against Liverpool ahead of the international break and with two weeks to further heal up, could even be named to the starting XI. The 22-year-old's return to the team sheet will be a boon for Palace as they look to grab three points from Sunderland.

Wickham (calf) is available off the bench Sunday against Liverpool.

Wickham has dealt with multiple injuries early this season, and given the relatively lengthy layoff, it's unsurprising that he fails to get the start. He'll likely use the international break to get his fitness back, and he is expected to slot back into the starting lineup after that.

Wickham (calf) has been ruled out for Saturday's match against Manchester United.

The starting striker job for Palace is ready for Wickham when he is, but he just can't seem to get beyond the latest issue. It's unclear who will get the start in Wickham's place, though Dwight Gayle is certainly an option, as is Chelsea-loanee Patrick Bamford.

Wickham is not expected to play Saturday against Leicester City because of his calf injury, the Croydon Advertiser reports.

Wickham has been out since suffering a rib injury toward the end of August, and now the calf injury wasn't able to heal enough over the recent international break. He's still not training fully, and his absence could linger due to a lack of match fitness. Patrick Bamford and Fraizer Campbell will battle for playing time this weekend, with Dwight Gayle suspended.

Wickham (ribs) is unlikely to face West Ham on Saturday, the South London Press reports.

Wickham has been out since the middle of September due to the ailment, though his absence hasn't opened up playing time for Patrick Bamford, as Dwight Gayle has gotten a few starts at the Eagles' striker, while Yannick Bolasie and Bakary Sako have also gotten a shot.

Wickham (ribs) is not expected to return Saturday against West Bromwich Albion, according to manager Alan Pardew.

Wickham (ribs) has now missed a month of action following the injury that he picked up against Arsenal on August 16 and aggrevated against Chelsea on August 29. The medical team have told manager Alan Pardew that he will return October 17 against West Ham. Wickham has yet to open his account for Palace and has been replaced by Dwight Gayle in the side of late.
