Wickham had a very active game Sunday, getting off seven shots against Aston Villa in a scoreless draw.

Unfortunately for Wickham, he was never really close to finding the back of the net with only two of his shots on goal, but the activity is a promising sign going forward. Wickham has had over 20 shots combined in his past four games, but has only scored once. If he can find some consistency with his strikes he could become one of the most dangerous strikers in the English Premier League. He'll look to continue firing against Man City next Thursday.

Wickham led Sunderland with five shots in the 1-1 draw with West Ham Saturday.

Wickham is Sunderland's best offensive player and he showed that with his five-shot performance. It's surprising he only has two goals on the season, but he should turn that around and will likely be Sunderland's leading scorer by the end of the year. Sunderland fans will need Wickham to show up next weekend against derby rivals Newcastle in what's always a heated matchup.

Wickham opened up the scoring Wednesday with a nice finish in the 4-1 loss to Manchester City.

The goal appeared to be a good omen for Sunderland taking an early lead on Man City, but the flood gates just opened up after that and Sunderland allowed an unanswered four goals. Wickham has looked good recently and should continue his good form against a poor defense in Liverpool this weekend.

Wickham was Sunderland's most dangerous weapon Saturday, getting off five shots in the scoreless draw to Chelsea.

Wickham has looked like Sunderland's best player all season long even though he only has one goal on the year. It just seems as a matter of time before he gets going in the stat sheet, so he may be a good buy in fantasy before his breakout occurs. Sunderland have another tough matchup next weekend hosting Manchester City.

Wickham took two shots, with one on goal, and won five aerial duals during Sunderland's scoreless draw with Leicester City on Saturday.

Wickham has been committing fouls at an unusual rate, committing another four in this match, while drawing an unusual six. This just shows that while he hasn't been scoring, he is clearly an active participant in the game and a dangerous weapon if he keeps drawing fouls. His future at Sunderland is a bit cloudy, so with the winter transfer window approaching, he's a player worth keeping an eye on.

Wickham was very active Sunday, but was unable to score in the 1-1 draw to Everton.

Wickham was ornery once again comitting four fouls for back to back weeks, but also drew three fouls and got off three shots in a very active game for the midfielder. While he didn't score or assist, it's nice to see him so involved in the game and to be a regular starter. Sunderland go on an international break and then play Leicester in two weeks from now.

Wickham is considering a transfer abroad in order to regain his form as his contract with Sunderland is due to expire this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

Wickham was recently one of the hottest prospects, but hasn't made the impact he would have expected with Sunderland. He has scored 10 goals in 60 matches, and also spent time on oan at Sheffield Wednesday. He will be free to negotiate with other teams in January.

Wickham was not in the starting lineup Saturday, but entered in just after halftime for Darren Fletcher.

Wickham was a rare sub today and was in an ornery mood getting a yellow card and committing four fouls. This was probably just a day off for the striker and he gave way to William Buckley who was ineffective in this match. Look for Wickham to get back in the starting XI next weekend against Crystal Palace.
