Wickham was charged by the FA on Monday for violent conduct due to an incident with Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen last Saturday.

Wickham was not seen by the referee but he was caught on camera and therefore subject to a three-member panel. He is facing a three-match ban (only two Premier League matches), and while he could appeal, and overturn is unlikely. Wickham's absence could open the door right away for Emmanuel Adebayor to start after he signed with the club Tuesday.

Wickham is available but needs match fitness ahead of Saturday's fixture with Manchester City.

Wickham missed four consecutive matches with a calf injury, but returned off the bench to play the second half of Palace's mid-week fixture with Aston Villa. The 22-year-old has one goal and two assists in 10 Premier League matches this season and is one of the only attacking options for the Eagles this season. He, along with Bakary Sako and Marouane Chamakh all are in need of match fitness, but are all fit to play.

Wickham (hamstring) is available off the bench Tuesday against Aston Villa.

Assistant manager Keith Millen made a point Tuesday to note that while Wickham had recovered from his hamstring injury, he was not match fit, so his spot on the bench shouldn't be a surprise. Bakary Sako will lead the line Tuesday, though he is also just recovering from injury, so Wickham could replace him at some point.

Wickham (hamstring) has been deemed fit for Tuesday's match at Aston Villa.

Assistant manager Keith Millen confirmed that Wickham returned to first-team training this week, though he also noted that the striker is not match fit, so it seems a bit of a long shot that he will start the match, or at the very least he'll play much less than the full 90 minutes. With Dwight Gayle also sidelined, Fraizer Campbell and Marouane Chamakh could continue to see playing time, with Bakary Sako also a possibility.

Wickham (hamstring) is expected to be available for Tuesday's Premier League match against Aston Villa, manager Alan Pardew said Thursday.

Wickham has been sidelined since mid-December due to the ailment, though he will actually return on the shorter end of his estimated timetable. It's unclear if he'll start right away, though Palace have been much better this season with a recognized striker leading the attack. Fraizer Campbell, who has been starting up front recently, would likely move to the bench if Wickham starts.

Wickham could miss about four weeks because of his hamstring injury, manager Alan Pardew said Saturday.

Wickham was reportedly facing a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's match against Bournemouth but it's clear the ailment is much more serious than initially believed. Fraizer Campbell started in place of Wickham on Saturday, and he could continue to get the opportunity, along with Marouane Chamakh and Patrick Bamford (knock).

Wickham (hamstring) is not in the 18-man squad to face Bournemouth on Saturday.

Wickham was always considered a long shot to be available, and Fraizer Campbell will start in his place, with Marouane Chamakh available off the bench.

Wickham (hamstring) faces a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's match against Bournemouth, the Croydon Advertiser reports.

Wickham picked up his injury in last weekend's match against Stoke City, and while he hasn't been ruled out for Saturday's game, it appears that he'll be a long shot to play. If he does sit, Marouane Chamakh or Patrick Bamford could start up front, with Yannick Bolasie also a possibility, though the latter is dealing with a muscular injury of his own.
