Bellerin is expected to play Saturday after being rested for Wednesday's Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb.

Mathieu Debuchy got the start in Bellerin's absence, but the young Spaniard is likely to get his starting job back to face a Chelsea squad that has struggled to start the season but scored four times against Maccabi Tel Aviv in their Champions League match this week.

Bellerin has recovered from a muscular injury and will be available Sunday against Crystal Palace.

Bellerin missed the opener against West Ham, and Mathieu Debuchy played relatively well in his place. Debuchy was the starter last year until suffering an injury, so it's unclear whether manager Arsene Wenger will slot Bellerin back into the starting lineup or not.

Bellerin missed Sunday's season opener against West Ham due to a minor muscle ailment, the Daily Express reports.

Bellerin was surprisingly absent from Arsenal 18-man squad for Sunday's match, so news of his small injury at least provides clarity. Speaking on Bellerin's muscle ailment, manager Arsene Wenger said the Spaniard would only miss a few days and could be fit to play in the Gunners' next match against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Bellerin signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal on Friday.

Bellerin is fresh off a breakthrough 2014-15 campaign that saw him make 28 appearances for the Gunners. At just 20 years old, the Spaniard displayed a magnificent blend of attacking and defending acumen, becoming Arsenal's first-choice right back while Mathieu Debuchy was injured. While it's unclear whether Bellerin will retain that starting position heading into the upcoming season, the former Barcelona product has now cemented his long-term future at Arsenal.

Bellerin opened the scoring in the 37th minute of Arsenal's 4-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday, though he picked up a yellow card and committed a foul in the box that led to Jordan Henderson's successful penalty attempt.

Bellerin lost out on a clean sheet thanks to his sloppy play near the goal, but his own score surely will make fantasy owners proud. He has been a very solid player for the Gunners this season and he may be able to hold onto his starting spot even when Mathieu Debuchy returns from his shoulder injury, which is expected to happen as early as next weekend.
