Allen assisted on the opening goal during Monday's 3-0 win over Russia.

Allen operated mostly as a deep-lying midfield distributor Monday, but he was able to corral a turnover and slotted in Aaron Ramsey in on goal as Wales opened the scoring in the 11th minute. He doesn't venture forward often, but with Ramsey and Gareth Bale making forward runs in front of him, the potential for assist production is there. He should man the center of the pitch once again as Wales begin the knockout phase Saturday versus the third-place finisher of Group A, C or D.

Allen scored Liverpool's first goal in their 2-0 win over Watford on Sunday.

Not many benefited from the Allen goal as it was only his second of the season and just the third time he played a full 90 minutes all campaign.

Allen picked up an assist and took two shots off target in 25 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's 4-0 romp over Everton.

Philippe Coutinho made the most of the fourth goal with his brilliant strike, nevertheless Joe Allen was the one to deliver the ball in the former's feet and got credited with his first assist of the season. Allen has found playing time hard to come by this season and with barely five Premier League starts (15 total appearances) does't posses much of a fantasy upside.

Allen (hamstring) is improving, but will be unavailable for Thursday's Europa League fixture against Augsburg.

While it is an encouraging sign that manager Jurgen Klopp said Allen is "in a good way," he likely won't be available for either of the consecutive fixtures against Man City before a targeted return date of Mar. 6 at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Allen is facing a lengthy layoff because of the hamstring injury he suffered last weekend against Sunderland, manager Jurgen Klopp said Friday.

While Allen was just getting some playing time after a previous injury absence, his fantasy upside is fairly limited in most formats.

Allen came off in the first half of Saturday's match against Sunderland after suffering a knock.

Allen, who was replaced by Jordon Ibe, doesn't provide a ton of fantasy value, so his absence isn't likely to hurt many fantasy rosters.

Allen scored a goal as a substitute in Wednesday's 3-3 draw with Arsenal.

Allen came on with 10 minutes to play for Emre Can and finished a Christian Benteke header to equalize and give the home fans a point they rightfully deserved. The Welsh midfielder has struggled to get and stay on the pitch, starting just one match this season, but picked an incredible time to score his first goal of the season across all competitions.

Allen was sent home from training Thursday due to an illness.

Allen's fantasy prospects aren't that high anyway, so an absence Saturday against West Ham isn't likely to affect many fantasy rosters.
