Szczesny gave up two goals, but had eight saves in the 2-0 loss to Real Madrid on Tuesday, during the Champions League Round of 16.

Szczesny did all he could in the loss with eight saves, but his defense just could not hold up against the attack of Real Madrid. While he and AS Roma play well most of the time, Szczesny seems to falter when playing against the best competition in the world.

Szczesny said he hopes to play for Arsenal again after his current loan with Roma expires, according to the Daily Mail.

Szczesny joined AS Roma on a season-long loan from Arsenal.

Szczesny became the third choice keeper at Arsenal after they signed Petr Cech this summer, and he will now compete with Morgan De Sanctis for the starting job at Roma, though he is widely believed to be the front-runner for the role.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Szczesny is expected to spend the 2015/16 season on loan at AS Roma, ESPN FC reports.

Szczesny lost his starting spot at Arsenal last January when David Ospina took over, and the summer arrival of Petr Cech only pushed him further down the depth chart. He will have to battle Morgan De Sanctis for the starting job, though the Polish international is expected to win the competition.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Szczesny will start Saturday's FA Cup semifinal against Reading.

Szczesny lost his starting job in Premier League play to David Opsina, and while he will get some work this weekend, there is little reason to think he will supplant the latter any time soon.

Manager Arsene Wenger said Thursday that Szczesny (ribs) "has a chance to be fit this weekend."

Despite a return to fitness Szczesny, who was unavailable for last Saturday's match against Liverpool, will continue to deputize David Ospina.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Szczesny is out Saturday against Liverpool because of a rib injury.

Szczesny wasn't likely to get the start ahead of David Ospina, so the injury isn't likely to change too many fantasy rosters. Matt Macey will be the backup against Liverpool.
