Nocerino received a straight red card in Saturday night's 4-1 road loss at D.C. United and will miss Wednesday night's fixture at Toronto FC as a result.

Nocerio was ejected in the 66th minute of Saturday's contest after throwing an elbow into the chest of D.C. United's Patrick Mullins while trying to field a goal kick from Joe Bendik. The midfielder, who recorded a single shot on goal and a trio of tackles and clearances each before being sent off from the pitch, will remain sidelined in the Lions' Wednesday night match at Toronto FC as a result. Fantasy owners should look for Julio Baptista to make his first start since Aug. 20 in place of Nocerino.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Nocerino had four interceptions and registered a single tackle and clearance each Sunday as Orlando City defeated New York City FC 2-1 at home.

Nocerino not only tied Jose Aja as Orlando City's leader for interceptions in Sunday's match, but also logged a single shot for the third time in as many appearances in the process. The defender has enjoyed a resurgence in his overall numbers since the arrival of new head coach Jason Kreis, and enters the month of September presently averaging a respectable 1.5 tackles and 1.2 interceptions a contest this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Noceriono had one shot, a single tackle, a pair of clearances, four interceptions and nine recoveries Saturday as Orlando City played Colorado to a scoreless draw on the road.

After playing a combined 12 minutes in the span of seven games between mid-May to mid-July, Nocerino has seen a sudden resurgence in playing time, starting three of Orlando City's last four fixtures and logging 246 minutes on the pitch in those same contests. The Italian has thus far produced only six shots, including one on goal, in his first year in MLS, but solid performances such as the one put together in Saturday's draw scoreless draw in Colorado suggest the central midfielder's future holds plenty of promise.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Nocerino has been suspended for one game by Major League Soccer for violent conduct during last weekend's match against Seattle, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Nocerino received a yellow card for the incident, but the league decided it warranted more punishment. It's the second time this season Nocerino, who just recently reclaimed his starting spot, has been retroactively suspended twice already this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Nocerino did not travel with Orlando City for Saturday's fixture at Columbus, Alicia Rose DelGallo of the Orlando Sentinel tweets.

Nocerino apparently did not travel with Orlando City to Columbus as a result of "a minor injury," but no further information has yet to be provided by team representatives. Fantasy owners will want to track closely the status of the midfielder heading into July 31st's home fixture versus New England, particularly given that Nocerino has only logged a total of 83 minutes playing time over the Lions's seven outings.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Nocerino is suspended for Sunday's match against the Red Bulls for entering the field to play during last weekend's game against the Revolution, reports.

Nocerino's absence is certainly a hit for the Lions, though his fantasy value is fairly limited given his role as a holding midfielder. Cristian Higuita could move into his spot in the starting lineup if he passes fit.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Nocerino (leg) is available off the bench for Sunday's game against Portland.

Nocerino started in his two first-ever MLS outings, but a lingering cramping issue will force him to the bench Sunday. In most cases, the midfielder will be favored to start.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Nocerino departed Orlando City SC's 1-0 road victory over New York City FC on Friday in the 54th minute after dealing with cramping in one of his legs, reports.

A highly-regarded Designated Player and considered by many to be Orlando City's best off-season acquisition, Nocerino has yet to log a full 90-minute performance in his first two showings for the club. Fortunately, Lions' manager Adrian Heath noted in a postgame press conference that the 30-year old midfielders' departure was believed to be "a bit of a cramp," and not a hamstring, suggesting Nocerino could take the pitch once more as Orlando City faces off against Portland at home on April 3.
