Nocerino is suspended for Sunday's match against the Red Bulls for entering the field to play during last weekend's game against the Revolution, reports.

Nocerino's absence is certainly a hit for the Lions, though his fantasy value is fairly limited given his role as a holding midfielder. Cristian Higuita could move into his spot in the starting lineup if he passes fit.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Nocerino (leg) is available off the bench for Sunday's game against Portland.

Nocerino started in his two first-ever MLS outings, but a lingering cramping issue will force him to the bench Sunday. In most cases, the midfielder will be favored to start.

Nocerino departed Orlando City SC's 1-0 road victory over New York City FC on Friday in the 54th minute after dealing with cramping in one of his legs, reports.

A highly-regarded Designated Player and considered by many to be Orlando City's best off-season acquisition, Nocerino has yet to log a full 90-minute performance in his first two showings for the club. Fortunately, Lions' manager Adrian Heath noted in a postgame press conference that the 30-year old midfielders' departure was believed to be "a bit of a cramp," and not a hamstring, suggesting Nocerino could take the pitch once more as Orlando City faces off against Portland at home on April 3.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Nocerino is expected to make his MLS debut Friday against Chicago, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Nocerino was held out of the opener Sunday against RSL after arriving from Italy last week, and he could very well get the start right away, though his holding midfield role somewhat limits his fantasy upside.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Nocerino will not play in Sunday's season-opener against Real Salt Lake, as he just recently joined the team after waiting for his work visa to be approved, reports.

Nocerino arrives with much fanfare, but it's completely understandable that he won't play just days after joining the team. That being said, it's only a matter of time before he becomes a regular in the starting XI.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Nocerino officially signed with Orlando City on Thursday after his rights were acquired from D.C. United for targeted allocation money and general allocation money.

Nocerino spent time with both AC Milan and Juventus during his career, and he joins Orlando City after spending last season on loan with Parma. He is likely to get plenty of playing time in MLS and will be a nice addition alongside Kaka, another former Milan star.

The veteran midfielder scored and had an assist as relegated Parma drew 2-2 with Verona.

The timing for a big match couldn't be better for Nocerino. The 30-year-old will be a free agent this summer and should draw interest from lots of clubs seeking a holding midfielder with international experience.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

The veteran midfielder who is owned by AC Milan has moved on loan from Torino to Parma, Football Italia reports.

Nocerino should get more playing time with Parma and could play a key role in whether or not the club relegates.
