Mignolet is on the bench for Liverpool's Premier League match against Manchester United on Sunday, with Brad Jones getting the start in his place.

Mignolet has really struggled this season and it appears likely that the team will try to find a replacement during the January transfer window. They flirted with former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes, who then decided to start training with Manchester United, leaving Liverpool to search for another option next month.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mignolet could be benched for Sunday's crunch match against Manchester United, the Mirror reports.

If Mignolet does get benched, Brad Jones is next in line, though it's a very tough matchup against a Manchester United side capable of scoring multiple goals, particularly at Old Trafford.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mignolet needed to make only one save during Liverpool's scoreless draw with Sunderland on Saturday, his fourth clean sheet of the season.

There has been talk recently that Mignolet could be replaced in January, though he's now allowed just one goal in the last three matches, posting two clean sheets in that span. On the down side, those shutouts have come against Stoke City, Leicester City and Sunderland. Up next is a Champions League match against FC Basel on Tuesday before a big one against Manchester United at Old Trafford next Sunday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Despite allowing seven goals in his last three club matches, Mignolet will remain Liverpool's No. 1 keeper, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Liverpool were linked with Victor Valdes earlier this season, but any potential deal seemed to be scuttled after he began training with Manchester United as he recovers from a torn ACL. While Brad Jones continues to be on hand as a potential replacement for Mignolet, he hasn't started a league game since March 2013, and given the overall defensive woes for the Reds, neither keeper is a particularly great fantasy option.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mignolet made four saves but allowed two goals in Liverpool's 3-2 win over QPR on Sunday.

Mignolet again let fantasy owners down, despite a great matchup on paper. At this point Mignolet and the Reds defense should not be trusted in any league until things improve.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mignolet made four saves and was beat late on by a Jagielka strike in Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Everton on Saturday.

Mignolet narrowly missed out on the clean sheet again, now only having one in six matches on the season. The low probability of clean sheets has depressed the Belgian shot stopper's fantasy value since he arrived on Merseyside. Next week's matchup at home, against West Brom, is as good as it gets, but fantasy owners should still proceed with caution until the Liverpool defense can tighten things up with their new signings.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mignolet needed only one save to pick up his first clean sheet of the season in Liverpool's 3-0 victory over Tottenham on Sunday.

Mignolet had a fairly easy day as the Liverpool back line was much more organized. With a pair of good matchups coming up against Aston Villa and West Ham, Mignolet has the opportunity to build on this performance and reward patient fantasy owners.

Mignolet was beaten three times while recording one save in Liverpool's 1-3 loss to Manchester City on Monday,

Mignotlet had a rough time against the champions Manchester City and was again let down by disorganization of his defenders. Last years theme continues with the Liverpool back line allowing opposing offenses too much space and time on the ball near the goal. Next week's trip to White Hart Lane could again prove a tough matchup, so fantasy owners should avoid the Belgian shot stopper if possible.
