McManaman is expected to miss up to six weeks of action after suffering an ankle injury, the Albion Express reports.

The 24-year-old was rumored to be on his way out at West Brom, but it apepars in stead he will face a long-term spell on the sidelines. McManaman had only appeared 14 times this season, including just two starts, so the Baggies' plans will likely not be affected significantly by his absence.

McManaman will face a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's match against Stoke because of a knock he picked up in training.

McManaman picked up an assist in last weekend's 3-2 loss to Chelsea, and he remains a solid part of the West Brom attack. Unfortunately, it's not a very prolific attack, and he's not a terribly high-upside fantasy play.

McManaman picked up an assist during West Brom's 3-2 loss to Chelsea on Sunday.

McManaman started Sunday's match by winning West Brom a penalty kick early in the first half, and although teammate James Morrison failed to convert that spot shot, he was able to skillfully head home a cross from McManaman during the second half, allowing McManaman to record his first assist of the season. While McManaman was later taken off in the 78th minute after receiving a yellow card, the Englishman put together a strong shift Sunday.

Manager Tony Pulis indicated Wednesday that McManaman will be shut down for at least two weeks with a foot injury.

McManaman aggrevated the injury in each of his last two appearances and will be shut down as a result. Considering that McManaman also missed time recently with an ankle problem, it comes as no surprise that the club is being cautious with the striker.

McManaman officially signed with West Brom on Wednesday after transferring from Wigan.

McManaman is West Brom's first signing since Tony Pulis took over as manager, and he appears to have a clear line for playing time, which should help take some of the offensive load off Saido Berahino. McManaman had five goals in 23 games so far this season.
