Howson headed home one of his two shots (both on target) in the 1-0 win over Swansea on Saturday.

The versatile midfielder scored his first goal of the season, and what a moment, for the Canaries, that to happen. He was one of the best in that game but he hasnít been this generous to his fantasy owners until now with only two assists so far in the season. It isnít going to get any easier beyond that game, for him, either with the Canaries facing top eight teams in five of their next six Premier League fixtures.

Howson picked up an assist and added two shots off target, two key passes, four dribbles and 5 crosses in the loss to Leicester City on Saturday.

The midfielder was one of the most valuable players for the Canaries and one of the main reasons for the, almost, come back of the home side. He is a regular starter with almost full basket of playing minutes but he doesnít always fill up the main statistical categories. However, heíll have a good chance to pick up another solid performance next week when visiting the seasonís disaster Ė Newcastle United.

Howson picked up an assist in Saturday's 3-1 victory over Bournemouth.

After a strong season in the Championship last year where he scored nine goals and six assists in 37 appearances, Howson got on the score sheet for the first time this season with his first assist on Saturday. The 27-year-old Brit scored in the League Cup and is a threat to score in any given game, even if it hasn't happened in the Premier League to date.

Howson (back) has looked really good in training this week, according to manager Chris Hughton, and the midfielder could make a return to the squad this weekend against Tottenham. It would mark his first involvement since December.

Despite missing the last ten games, Howson's two goals are still joint-third top scorer for the Canaries in the league this season. In those ten games, Norwich have only managed to register a solitary victory. Hughton may be tempted to give Howson a start as the Canaries try to move away from the relegation zone.

Howson remains doubtful for the match, so fantasy owners (if there are any), should prepare an alternative in case he can't go.

Howson injured his back in training during the week, and as a consequence was absent from the Norwich City squad which drew nil all with Sunderland on Saturday, Canaries' manager Chris Hughton confirmed.

This is the first time Howson has missed out on a place in the Canaries match day squad all season. He has contributed two goals from midfield and was a mainstay in the starting XI. He has started fourteen games, which is the fourth-most in the whole Norwich squad. He will be assessed over the next couple of days, with the hopes of being included in the squad for the home game against Fulham on Boxing Day.

Howson picked up a first half equalizer from six yards out Saturday against Everton.

Howson has become more comfortable with each passing game and should look to become even more involved for Canaries going forward.
