Dawson had one shot off target, five crosses, two dribbles, three aerials won, seven clearances, seven interceptions and four tackles in the scoreless draw with Aston Villa on Saturday.

The West Brom defensive rearguard have been fairly solid fantasy performers throughout the season. They have tallied eight clean sheets and only one loss in the last five games. Dawson was exceptionally active both on offense and defense. He is the best defensive fantasy prospect for the Baggies. He has two goals and is an aerial threat at every set piece. Operating on the right flank increases his upside as he gets occasional outbursts of crosses. He's getting another favorable matchup on Feb. 2 when the Baggies host the struggling Swans who possess one of the most inept attacks in the league.

Dawson scored on his lone shot on goal adding a cross and six clearances in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

The right back showed a lethal instinct netting the ball in a chaotic scramble in the Liverpool penalty area. Thatís his second goal of the season but heís not a regular source of offensive stats, thus, his fantasy upside is limited.

Dawson scored a goal on one shot (one on target) in Monday's 3-2 defeat to Everton.

While Dawson's not much of a goal scorer, having just scored three goals in 75 matches with West Brom throughout his career, he did well to slot away a header from close range to make the score 2-0. After a disastrous spell at center back in the opener, he's found a good home at right back and should keep his place in the starting XI whether or not he continues this goal scoring stretch.

Dawson is sidelined by a calf strain, but he is expected to be fit for West Brom's Premier League opener Aug. 10 against Manchester City, the Birmingham Mail reports.

Dawson's recovery became even more important to the Baggies after Gareth McAuley suffered a calf injury during Saturday's friendly with Swindon. West Brom are expected to be strong defensively this season under Tony Pulis, which could give Dawson considerably more fantasy value than he's had in seasons past.

Dawson is eligible to face Leicester City on Saturday after serving a one-match ban for picking up a red card March 22 against Arsenal.

Dawson has been a consistent starter under manager Tony Pulis, so his return is likely right back into the starting lineup.

The red card given to Gareth McAuley during last Sunday's match against Arsenal has been transferred to Dawson, the FA announced Monday.

The commission agreed that McAuley was sent off in error, as Dawson was responsible for the offense that led to the card. Dawson will serve a one-match suspension and be eligible to return April 11 against Leicester City.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dawson took home a clean sheet in Saturday's 0-0 draw against Sunderland.

Dawson was played at right back by manager Tony Pulis in place of Andre Wisdom who dropped down to the bench. In all he made eight clearances, one interception, one tackle and was booked. Pulls still doesn't seem certain on his best back line and don't count on Dawson to start every week.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dawson scored a 10th-minute header in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to West Ham.

Dawson flicked in Graham Dorrans' free kick to bring an end to the home side's 323-minute Premier League goal drought. More worrying for manager Alan Irvine is the fact Albion haven't kept a clean sheet in four straight games.
