The red card given to Gareth McAuley during last Sunday's match against Arsenal has been transferred to Dawson, the FA announced Monday.

The commission agreed that McAuley was sent off in error, as Dawson was responsible for the offense that led to the card. Dawson will serve a one-match suspension and be eligible to return April 11 against Leicester City.

Dawson was played at right back by manager Tony Pulis in place of Andre Wisdom who dropped down to the bench. In all he made eight clearances, one interception, one tackle and was booked. Pulls still doesn't seem certain on his best back line and don't count on Dawson to start every week.

Dawson scored a 30th minute header in the 4-0 win at home to Burnley.

The centre back rose to meet Chris Brunt's corner to set the home side on the way to their biggest win since 2012. Dawson also took a clean sheet and looks a good bet for more blanks alongside Joleon Lescott at the centre of West Brom's defence.

Dawson kept a second clean sheet of the season in Sunday's 1-0 win at Tottenham.

Dawson lined up alongside Joleon Lescott at the centre of an impenetrable defence that was a major reason for the surprise victory. After rumours of a summer transfer evaporated, Dawson has been an ever present in the West Brom defence. When he is alongside Lescott, fantasy owners can expect to get clean sheet bonuses and Dawson is known to chip in with three to four goals per season from corners.
