Sigurdsson scored a goal on three shots (one on target) in Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Arsenal.

While Sigurdsson was strong all day, his goal was particularly noteworthy. After being gifted possession by Granit Xhaka at the edge of the 18-yard box, the Icelandic forward took a touch inside and blasted the ball home into the top corner to give Swansea some much-needed life. The team's primary set piece taker, he had ample opportunities while standing over the ball, but they were unable to convert as they walk away empty-handed.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sigurdsson assisted on Swansea's only goal in their 3-1 loss against Manchester City. He finished with three shots, three successful tackles and two corners taken.

After a slow start to the season, Sigurdsson looked a little better for Swansea, despite the loss. While the upcoming matches look tough, Sigurdsson will always be Swansea's most potent player, and maybe more so if Fernando Llorente can find some form.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sigurdsson converted a penalty kick in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Chelsea.

After a tremendous run in the Euros with Iceland, Sigurdsson opened his account for the season after drawing a penalty and calmly converting on a powerful strike from 12-yards to tie the score. After 11 goals last season, the Swans will need Sigurdsson to help carry the goal-scoring load with Leroy Fer if they hope to avoid the drop.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sigurdsson made two key passes and had 3 shots on target but could not help Swansea slump to a 0-2 home loss to Hull on Saturday.

Sigurdsson returned to the starting line-up after his exploits for Iceland in Euro 2016 and he looked the most likely for Swansea to make the breakthrough forcing a fingertip save onto the crossbar from Jakupovic in the Hull goal. Whatever the fantasy format, Sigurdsson is always a good pick-up.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sigurdsson came off the bench for the last 30 minutes of Swansea's 0-1 win against Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.

Deemed not fit enough to start, Sigurdsson eased himself back into the fold with a tidy second half display for the Swans. A consistent fantasy performer, expect him to be in the points again this season regardless of the fantasy format.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sigurdsson is on the bench for Swansea City's visit to Burnley on Saturday.

Sigurdsson is not in the starting XI Saturday but could be include later as a substitute. After Iceland's extended run in Euro 2016, Sigurdsson was forced to report to Swansea's training camp later than most players, which may explain his absence from the starting XI against Burnley. When Sigurdsson is on the pitch he has high fantasy value.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sigurdsson could be rested for Saturday's Premier League opener against Burnley after his participation in the European Championship this summer, Wales Online reports.

Sigurdsson is expected to be a major focal point of the Swans' attack this season, but he didn't get a full preseason in thanks to Iceland's surprisingly deep run in this summer's tournament, so manager Francesco Guidolin appears ready to sit him for one game to ensure he's fit for the rest of the term.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sigurdsson signed a four-year contract extension with Swansea City on Tuesday.

Sigurdsson had two more years left on his old contract, but the Swans locked him up for the additional time with the aim of keeping him in Wales for as long as they can. The Icelandic midfielder has been tremendous for Swansea over the past few seasons, and he'll be the main cog in their attack again this season.
