RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Perez has left FC Dallas to rejoin Panama in pursuit of the Gold Cup, Stephen Hunt of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Depending on how far Panama advances in the competition, Perez could miss the majority of July. In his absence, Kellyn Acosta should be in store for added playing time.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Perez, who missed last weekend's match against San Jose while on international duty, took just two shots, with neither on goal, during FC Dallas' 3-0 loss at Seattle on Saturday.

Perez has not scored since May 9 against Los Angeles, and now sits on just five goals on the season, three of which came in the first two games. Dallas has scored just once in the last five games and will really need Perez to pick up the slack if they're going to bounce back from the slump.

Perez (international duty) will start against Seattle on Saturday.

Perez only missed one match while competing abroad for Panama and should be available moving forward for his club team. With five goals on 11 MLS appearances this season, the 34 year old is a viable option across all formats.

Perez has been called up by Panama for two international friendlies against Ecuador this week, which means he will not play Sunday against the Earthquakes.

The quick scheduling of the matches means Perez will only miss the single match, allowing him to return to face the Sounders on June 13. Tesho Akindele could get a start in Perez's absence.

Perez returned to the lineup on Saturday versus the Galaxy, scoring on his only shot of the game.

The Panamanian missed the team's previous match due to a red card suspension, but returned to help his team to an exciting come-from-behind victory over L.A. Perez now has five goals and an assist to his name this season and should continue to contribute mightily to Dallas' attack versus the New York Red Bulls next week.

Perez attempted just one shot before being handed a straight red card following a vicious foul in the 59th minute of FC Dallas' match against the Colorado Rapids on Friday.

The league's second-leading goal scorer came in on a real hot streak, but let his team down in a big way, as FC Dallas relinquished a one-goal lead to draw the match following his sending off. Perez will now face a ban from the MLS, the length of which will be determined based on the severity of his actions.

Perez picked up an assist and scored on his lone shot of the game in FC Dallas' 3-2 victory over Toronto FC on Saturday.

The Panamanian has started the season on fire, recording four goals and an assist through just five starts and leading FCD to second place in the Western Conference. Perez and company will hit the road to take on the Colorado Rapids next week.
