Blas Perez took one shot off target and earned a yellow card on two fouls in Panama's 5-0 loss to Argentina on Friday.

The yellow card was Perez's second of the tournament, which means he will be suspended for Panama's final group stage game, which will come against Chile on Tuesday. Luis Tejada is the most experienced forward with 42 goals in 96 caps and could take Perez's place in the starting lineup.

Blaz netted a brace to boost Panama to a 2-1 win over Bolivia in their Copa America debut on Monday.

The 35-year-old forward gave his country a historic win with the brace. He notched his 40th and 41st scores for the national team in over 100 caps. Despite that enormous effort, though, his fantasy upside will be drastically reduced in the next two games with Panama facing two of the title-favorites Argentina and Chile.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Perez is expected to join up with the Panama national team on Friday ahead of Copa America.

Perez has gotten more playing time of late for the Caps, but he continues to be far too inconsistent to warrant serious fantasy consideration in most formats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Perez made an immediate impact by registering an assist just seconds after subbing on in the 76th minute of Saturday's win over Dallas.

The veteran threw his weight around on a 50-50 play and then released Kekuta Manneh as he slotted home an insurance goal. Perez has seen sporadic playing time for Vancouver, including just three starts thus far, and it remains to be seen if he breaks into the starting XI for the midweek fixture with Sporting KC.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Perez (hamstring) is back on the bench for Saturday's game against FC Dallas.

After missing one game with a hamstring injury, Perez is available off the bench. It is unlikely he will get much playing time, but he could be available for the start Wednesday against Kansas City.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Perez, who did not make the trip to Salt Lake this past weekend due to tightness in his hamstring, was back on the training pitch on Tuesday and afterward declared himself fit for Saturday's match with FC Dallas, reports.

Perez was seen doing individual work on the sidelines and training with the main group as a neutral on Tuesday before meeting with reporters and announcing he'll be ready to play this upcoming weekend. Saturday's match up has particular signifcance for the 35-year-old Panamanian, as Vancouver acquired the midfielder from FC Dallas during the 2016 preseason.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Perez will not play Saturday against the Dynamo, as he is away on international duty.

Perez got his first start of the season this past weekend but will have to wait to get that spot back as he competes for Panama. His next opportunity to play for the Whitecaps will come April 2 against the Galaxy.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Perez was traded to the Whitecaps on Tuesday in exchange for Mauro Rosales.

Perez has 36 goals and 14 assists in 97 regular season appearances for FC Dallas, though he struggled to get starts toward the end of last season and was clearly seen as excess in Texas. It's unclear if he'll get a shot at significantly more playing time in Vancouver, which will obviously be the key to his fantasy upside.
