Zusi (calf) is listed in the starting XI for Saturday's game against the Rapids.

Zusi has dealt with lingering pain his calf of late but he'll shake it off to assume his normal role in the starring XI. The midfielder enters Saturday with two goals and four assists on the season after 16 total appearances.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi (calf) will face a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's game against Colorado, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

Zusi returned from his calf issue last weekend against the Crew but he re-aggravated the injury while on the field and was visibly limping towards the end of the contest. SKC is jockeying for position at the top of the Western Conference but they could probably afford an absence from Zusi in Colorado since the Rapids have struggled to compile results this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi (calf) is available off the bench Wednesday against San Jose.

Zusi missed the last three games due to the injury, and while he was healthy enough to make the bench Wednesday, he makes for a very tough fantasy play given the uncertain playing time.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi (calf) is not on the 18-man roster for Saturday's game against the Whitecaps.

Zusi will miss his second straight MLS game as he continues to deal with a calf strain. In his stead, Conor Hallisey will get an unexpected start.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi (calf) was left off the 18-man lineup for Wednesday's U.S. Open Cup semifinal against Real Salt Lake.

Head coach Peter Vermes was fielding a strong starting XI on Wednesday and Zusi was the only normal starter not active, which certainly suggests that his calf injury is still bothering him. Zusi's next opportunity to get on the field will be Saturday against Vancouver while Jacob Peterson waits in the wings for an unexpected MLS start.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi (calf) will be a game-day decision for Wednesday's U.S. Open Cup semifinal match against Real Salt Lake, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

Zusi was pulled from the lineup this past weekend against Toronto FC during MLS competition after straining his calf in pregame warmups, but his possible availability for Wednesday suggests the injury is not all that severe. If he misses time, Jacob Peterson is expected to fulfill the absent spot in the starting XI, while Connor Hallisey is more of a long shot.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi suffered a strained calf Saturday but head coach Peter Vermes still doesn't know the severity of his injury, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

Zusi will likely be replaced by either Connor Hallisey or Jacob Peterson if he misses time in the future, as Kansas City may elect to sit him this next Saturday against the Whitecaps as a precaution for the season ahead.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi suffered a calf strain during pregame warmups for Saturday's game against Toronto FC and was scratched in favor of Connor Hallisey moments before kickoff, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

The severity of Zusi's injury remains unknown and likely won't be updated until after Saturday's game once head coach Peter Vermes addresses the media. In the meantime, Hallisey will benefit with just his third start of the season.
