Zusi earned an assist in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with LA.

Zusi earned his third assist, and just his first points since April 9. He already has more than half the assists he had last season, but he has yet to put the ball into the back of the net. If Zusi is going to increase his fantasy value he will need to begin scoring.

Despite a tough trip to play the Timbers in Portland, RotoWire's MLS experts think Sebastian Giovinco is still the top forward play this weekend.

Zusi had no shots but did record an assist in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Red Bulls.

The 17th minute cross to Benny Feilhaber was Zusi's first assist this season, and through five games he now has one assist, six shots, and two shots on goal. He doesn't often score goals, but he's a regular starter who creates opportunities which means he has value as part of a high-scoring SKC offense. He should be a starter against Colorado on Wednesday.

The U.S. men's national team announced Sunday it called up Zusi in advance of Tuesday's matchup with Guatemala, reports.

Zusi, who has made 32 appearances for the USMNT and was a member of the squad that traveled to Brazil to participate in the 2014 World Cup, heads to Guatemala after manufacturing a single shot on goal and an assist in three 2016 appearances for Sporting Kansas City.

Zusi (calf) is listed in the starting XI for Saturday's game against the Rapids.

Zusi has dealt with lingering pain his calf of late but he'll shake it off to assume his normal role in the starring XI. The midfielder enters Saturday with two goals and four assists on the season after 16 total appearances.

Zusi (calf) will face a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's game against Colorado, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

Zusi returned from his calf issue last weekend against the Crew but he re-aggravated the injury while on the field and was visibly limping towards the end of the contest. SKC is jockeying for position at the top of the Western Conference but they could probably afford an absence from Zusi in Colorado since the Rapids have struggled to compile results this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi (calf) is available off the bench Wednesday against San Jose.

Zusi missed the last three games due to the injury, and while he was healthy enough to make the bench Wednesday, he makes for a very tough fantasy play given the uncertain playing time.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi (calf) is not on the 18-man roster for Saturday's game against the Whitecaps.

Zusi will miss his second straight MLS game as he continues to deal with a calf strain. In his stead, Conor Hallisey will get an unexpected start.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi (calf) was left off the 18-man lineup for Wednesday's U.S. Open Cup semifinal against Real Salt Lake.

Head coach Peter Vermes was fielding a strong starting XI on Wednesday and Zusi was the only normal starter not active, which certainly suggests that his calf injury is still bothering him. Zusi's next opportunity to get on the field will be Saturday against Vancouver while Jacob Peterson waits in the wings for an unexpected MLS start.
