Having missed the last three matches due to a hamstring strain, Zusi is expected to be in the lineup Sunday for the match against Seattle.

While he has practiced all week, it's unlikely he'll play a full 90 minutes or that he will even start. However, with Seattle coming to town, goals can be had for the Sporting front line and Zusi may be a useful option if he starts. The Sounders have allowed 16 goals in nine road matches this year.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi (hamstring) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Rapids, according to Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star.

Zusi was a late scratch from last weekend's match due to a thigh hamstring, and he was subsequently held out for SKC's midweek game. He's always a solid fantasy option when he's fit, but the nagging issue may not allow him to start this weekend, possibly opening up playing time for Brad Davis.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi was a late scratch from Sunday's match against NYC FC because of a hamstring injury, the Kansas City Star reports.

Zusi reportedly suffered the minor strain during Friday's training session, and he felt tightness during warmups. The injury isn't expected to be serious, and he could play as early as Wednesday against the Fire.

Zusi scored a goal in Sunday's 3-2 win over Columbus. He had four shots, three shots on goal and swung in four crosses.

Zusi was active in his return from Copa America Centernario and opened his 2016 goal scoring account. Earlier in the match he hammered a free kick off the crossbar, and also took three of the five corner kicks KC had. He'll be looked to for a spark against NYC FC on July 10 with Dom Dwyer suspended.

Zusi, subbed into the match in the 70th minute, scored the final goal of the United States's 4-0 victory over Costa Rica on Tuesday.

Zusi came onto the pitch in relief of Bobby Wood, which could point to a potential role as super-sub for the US as they continue in the Copa America, which limits the midfielder's fantasy value. Given manager Jurgen Klinsmann's tendency towards youth, it is unlikely the 29-year-old Zusi will supplant Wood in the starting XI unless the youngster's contributions significantly drop off.

Zusi contributed six shots, including two on goal, Sunday as Sporting KC edged out Orlando City SC 2-1 at home.

Zusi finished one of three Sporting KC players logging six or more shots against Orlando City on Sunday, yet failed to find the back of the net for a 23rd straight appearance in the victory. The 29-year-old midfielder continues to trail only Saad Abdul-Salaam as the squad's No. 2 for assists this season, however.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zusi earned an assist in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with LA.

Zusi earned his third assist, and just his first points since April 9. He already has more than half the assists he had last season, but he has yet to put the ball into the back of the net. If Zusi is going to increase his fantasy value he will need to begin scoring.

Zusi had no shots but did record an assist in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Red Bulls.

The 17th minute cross to Benny Feilhaber was Zusi's first assist this season, and through five games he now has one assist, six shots, and two shots on goal. He doesn't often score goals, but he's a regular starter who creates opportunities which means he has value as part of a high-scoring SKC offense. He should be a starter against Colorado on Wednesday.
