Kone was spectacular on Sunday, recording a hat trick and an assist in a 6-2 win over Sunderland.

Kone has taken over starting duties for Kevin Mirallas this season and has been spectacular in a midfield role. In 11 games this season, Kone has five goals and three assists. The 31-year-old has always been a favorite of manager Roberto Martinez's and it will be tough to pull him out of the lineup with performances like these.

Kone came in as a reserve and scored a goal on one shot (one on target) and was issued a yellow card in Monday's 3-2 victory over West Brom.

Coming on in the 72nd minute, Kone wasted little time in making an impact, needing three minutes to connect on a clever through ball from Romelu Lukaku. He was promptly issued a yellow card for excessive celebration, but hasn't had much to cheer about of late. Kone has scored a goal in each of his two appearances off the bench, potentially making him a good fit as a super-sub as opposed to a fixture of the starting XI.

Kone got the start Saturday and rewarded his manager with an assist in a 3-0 win over Southampton.

Kone made a beautiful cross that was finished off by Romelu Lukaku for the opening goal. He has now picked up two assists and a goal in the first two games of the season. Kone will likely stick in the starting XI for next week's match against Man City until results show otherwise.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kone was a super sub on Saturday, recording a goal and an assist after coming on for Brendan Galloway in the 63rd minute of the 2-2 draw with Watford.

Kone has always been a favorite of manager Roberto Martinez since their days at Wigan and this will likely be his role all season long. He is tough to own for fantasy purposes simply due to his role as a reserve, but if Romelu Lukaku misses any significant time, Kone could be a nice addition.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kone (knee) is starting Saturday against Southampton.

Kone was deemed fit to play Thursday, but he'll get the start in place of Romelu Lukaku, who is out with a hamstring injury. While Kone will get a solid amount of playing time, it's a tough matchup against a very strong defense.
