O'Brien was left unused sub in the 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Tuesday.

O'Brien made his long awaited return to the team on Saturday in FA Cup action against Liverpool. As exciting as it is to see the defender out of his injury misery, however, he's still only a fringe player for the Hammers. The full back has only started 24 games (32 total appearances) across all competitions over the last three seasons with merely six of them for the entire last season and hadn't played since August 2015 before Saturday. His fantasy value remains very limited across almost all formats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

O'Brien has trained for two weeks and will play with the U-21 side Monday as he continues to recover from a calf injury.

O'Brien's fantasy upside is pretty limited even when he's fit, so his continued absence isn't likely a big hurt on many fantasy rosters.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

O'Brien is dealing with a calf injury and is unlikely to be available for Monday's match against Newcastle.

O'Brien isn't likely to get much playing time even when he's fit, so an injury absence isn't like to affect many fantasy squads.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

O'Brien made his first start since August in Saturday's 2-0 loss to Liverpool.

O'Brien also had a late goal disallowed after Kevin Nolan fouled Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet. With injuries all along West Ham's back line, O'Brien could see more action in the short-term.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

O'Brien continues to battle the same issues he's been having in his knee and won't be able to play in Ireland's European qualifying match against Georgia on Sunday as a result, HITC Sport reports.

O'Brien's knee problems have seemed minor throughout their entirety, but they've continued to linger making him unavailable for Ireland this weekend. Because of this, he'll likely have a late fitness test for West Ham's match against Hull City on Sept. 15.

O'Brien is dealing with a minor knee injury that is leaving his status for Saturday's match against Crystal Palace up in the air, the Daily Star reports.

O'Brien dealt with a dislocated shoulder last season and his injury woes have continued into 2014-15. While his knee injury isn't as serious as the shoulder injury last year, the 28-year-old should be a late fitness test against Crystal Palace.

O'Brien, who has been out since the end of January with a shoulder injury, was available off the bench Saturday against Crystal Palace.

O'Brien last played on January 29, but missed out since then with a dislocated shoulder. He has slowly made his way back, although a run of starts at the end of the season is unlikely.

O'Brien suffered a dislocated shoulder during Wednesday's scoreless draw at Chelsea and he could miss up to three months of action, the Daily Mail reports.

O'Brien landed awkwardly after being pushed by Chelsea defender Gary Cahill and will now miss considerable time with the injury.
