Ward-Prowse got off eight crosses and picked up an assist in a 1-1 draw to Aston Villa on Saturday.

The 21-year-old hasn't done a whole lot this season, but he looked good on Saturday. He shows great ability and at the ripe age of 21, he should only get better. Ward-Prowse now has two assists in 14 games played this season.

Ward-Prowse (knock) is available off the bench Sunday against Liverpool.

Ward-Prowse has found regular starts heard to come by, so while he can make an impact by taking corners when he plays, a spot on the bench doesn't provide much fantasy value.

Ward-Prowse picked up a knock last weekend against Leicester City, but he is fit to face Liverpool on Saturday, the Southern Daily Echo reports.

Ward-Prowse has begun to find regular playing time under manager Ronald Koeman, and while he does take a good number of corners, he's still looking for a meaningful fantasy breakout.

Ward-Prowse was shown a straight red card in the 54th minute of Southampton's 2-1 loss to Sunderland on Saturday.

The sending off came on a foul from behind in the box, which resulted in the game-winning penalty by Jordi Gomez. It was an unfortunately harsh decision for Ward-Prowse and Southampton, but the 20-year-old will miss next week's match versus Leicester City nonetheless.

Ward-Prowse subbed on at halftime against Hull City on Saturday and finished with two crosses, one shot and scored a well-taken goal in the 56th minute.

The 20-year-old Englishman has played well when given the chance this season and is certainly one to watch in the future at Southampton. He has been receiving more opportunities of late, so he could be a sneaky play next week against Stoke City if he is rewarded with a starting spot.

Ward-Prowse has not started a Premier League match since Feb. 22 against Liverpool, though he lasted only 56 minutes. He'll take the place of Dusan Tadic, who will be joined on the bench by Sadio Mane.
