Azpilicueta could start Saturday's match against Aston Villa at right back in place of the injured Branislav Ivanovic (hamstring), the Daily Mail reports.

Azpilicueta is naturally a right-sided player, but Ivanovic has had the spot locked up for a few years. However, the injury to the Serbian will put Azpilicueta in his more comfortable spot, with Baba Rahman expected to start at left back.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Azpilicueta contributed Chelsea's final goal during their 3-2 victory at West Brom on Sunday.

Azpilicueta ventured inside from his left back position to slide home Chelsea's third goal Sunday from the top of the penalty area. In doing so, Azpilicueta scored his first career Premier League goal. A more defensive-minded fullback, Azpilicueta's goal was surely welcomed by fantasy owners, who may be disappointed with Chelsea's defensive fragility so far.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Azpilicueta assisted on Branislav Ivanovic's 66th-minute game-winner during Saturday's match against Aston Villa.

Azpilicueta's assist was his lone key pass of the game and his third assist of the season. With Filipe Luis battling a calf injury, his spot at leftback appears to be secure.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Manager Jose Mourinho said Friday that Azpilicueta (groin) has been ruled out for Saturday's match against Swansea City, and he would return to training next week.

Given that timeframe, he is likely out for Tuesday's Capital One Cup match against Liverpool as well. Filipe Luis is expected to start at left back in Azpilicueta's place.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Azpilicueta will be sidelined for at least 10 days after suffering a groin injury in last weekend's match against Newcastle, ESPN FC reports.

With Azpilicueta out, Filipe Luis is expected to start at leftback. As a true left-footer, Luis may be able to get involved in the attack more than Azpilicueta usually does, which could boost his fantasy value in Saturday's trip to Swansea.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Azpilicueta had to be subbed off during Chelsea's 2-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday after suffering a groin injury, and he will have scans performed in the coming days.

Filipe Luis, who came on for Azpilicueta after he was forced off, would likely start at leftback for as long as the latter is sidelined.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Azpilicueta picked up his second assist of the season during Chelsea's 3-0 victory over Tottenham on Wednesday, while posting his third consecutive Premier League shutout.

The Chelsea defense has been excellent of late, adding in a shutout of Bundesliga-side Schalke in the Champions League during this defensive run. Azpilicueta had been losing playing time to Filipe Luis in UCL play, but with the way that the former is playing right now with John Terry, Gary Cahill, and Branislav Ivanovic, it's unlikely manager Jose Mourinho tinkers with his lineup too much.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Azpilicueta had 83 touches, but failed to take a shot or make a key pass during Saturday's 2-0 win over West Brom.

Azpilicueta has been very quiet in most fantasy formats this season, particularly with the relatively few clean sheets the Blues have posted. While he finished with the fourth-most touches Saturday, he did not take a shot and failed to make a key pass. Without the clean sheets, Azpilicueta's fantasy value is fairly limited.
