Despite recovering a knock, Nastastic was not in the 18-man squad to face Aston Villa on Saturday.

Nastasic has yet to make a Premier League appearance this season and with plenty of players ahead of him on the depth chart, he doesn't figure to make an impact any time soon.

Manchester City will listen to offers for Nastasic as the team prepares to sign Eliaquim Mangala from Porto, reports the Daily Mail.

Nastasic would only fall further down the depth chart with Mangala's arrival, which makes him surplus to City's plans for the season. He signed with the club from Fiorentina in 2012.

Nastasic's knee injury will prevent him from playing this weekend against Fulham and doctors are unsure what the problem is, ESPN reports. Manager Manuel Pellegrini said "We are concerned because the doctor doesn't know what happened with him. He did all the tests that he needs but we can't know what happened with him so we continue taking other opinions. The doctor is in charge of that."

Pellegrini added saying "We don't know exactly. The player feels pain inside the knee but nobody knows what is that pain. Nastasic continues with some pain in his knee. He has at least a couple more weeks to recover." While Nastasic doesn't get regular time in the starting XI, City are already without Vincent Kompany this weekend and could use some more depth in the back line.

Nastasic (knee) will not be available for Sunday's FA Cup match against Chelsea, nor Tuesday's Champions League match against FC Barcelona, the Daily Mail reports.

Nastasic hasn't been a consistent member of the City starting XI, so his absence isn't likely to change the gameplan much.

Nastasic will miss the next three weeks after picking up a calf injury in last weekend's match against Tottenham, Sky Sports reports.

Nastasic didn't play in the midweek Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen and now we know why. The three week timetable was an estimate, so it's certainly possible that he could return before that.
