Despite reports that he will not sign a new contract with Liverpool, manager Brendan Rodgers said Friday that Sterling will be available for Sunday's match against Stoke City.

Things appear to have gotten ugly between Sterling and the club, with his agent publicly stating that Sterling wouldn't sign a contract even if it paid 900,000 per week. Sterling has shown flashes of brilliance in his young career, but it's possible that he believes he's outgrown Liverpool and will need to take his talents elsewhere to reach his potential.

Sterling scored in the ninth minute of Liverpool's 2-0 win over Newcastle on Monday.

Sterling's goal was his first since Feb. 22 against Southampton, ending a seven match league drought. He got the start up top as the lone striker again, as Daniel Sturridge sat with a knock, though it's unclear if Sterling will move out wide when Sturridge returns.
