RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sterling withdrew from international duty Monday due to an undisclosed injury. He was replaced on the roster by Andros Townsend.

Sterling's injury comes as somewhat of a surprise. His injury will cause him to miss England's upcoming matches with Malta and Slovenia. The extent of his injury is not yet clear. If he remains out after the international break, he could miss upcoming matches with Everton and Barcelona the following week.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sterling had one goal on three shots, six key passes and sent in eight crosses while conceding an own goal in Wednesday’s 3-3 Champions League group match against Celtic.

Celtic’s Kieran Tierney’s took a shot in the 20th minute that deflected off Sterling and beat a helpless Claudio Bravo who had already started his dive far-post. Sterling made amends for the own goal scoring an equaliser just eight minutes later. Sterling made a beautiful cut back in front of the net and calmly slotted the ball under a diving Craig Gordon. Sterling has been in great form of late, scoring in three straight matches, while having five goals and five assists in his last eight matches. Sterling will look to make it four straight matches with a goal Sunday, as City faces Tottenham.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sterling scored City's final goal in their 3-1 win at Swansea on Saturday. He finished with two shots and an aerial won to go with a yellow card.

Sterling's great start continues under Pep Guardiola, now with four goals and three assists through six matches. No matter the situation, Sterling remains a solid play.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sterling score one goal, had one assist and fired four shots on net in Saturday's 4-0 win over Bournemouth.

Sterling just continues to thrive under Pep Guardiola. After setting up Kelechi Iheanacho for an easy finish, the pair reversed roles on City's third goal. The August Player of the Month now has three goals and two assists through five league matches. Though De Bruyne is the top midfielder to have on City (and in all of fantasy), Sterling is a high-end midfield option as well.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sterling assisted on the third goal in Wednesday's 4-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach. He also had three shots with one shot on target.

Sterling added his fourth assist across six games to start the season. He's an integral part of the Manchester City attack and early returns indicate a breakout season for the 21-year-old.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sterling scored two goals on four shots (two on target) in Sunday's 3-1 victory over West Ham.

Often known for being wasteful in front of goal, Sterling put his detractors to bed, at least for the night, scoring a pair of well taken goals that show just how good the 21-year-old could be. In four matches across all comps, Sterling has two goals and four assists and is primed to be the breakout star his club-record transfer fee suggested he should be. Sterling was named to the England squad for their World Cup qualifier against Slovakia before the first Manchester derby of the season after the international break.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sterling tallied an assist and was issued a yellow card in Saturday's 4-1 victory over Stoke City.

While the 21-year-old still struggles converting in front of goal, his link-up play with the dangerous City attack has paid huge dividends this season already. After an assist and drawing the foul that led to the penalty last week against Sunderland, Sterling gently slid the ball to the substitute Nolito for the fourth and final goal. He now has four assists in three matches across all comps, but does have some work to do. He skied an effort from close-range that could've put the game out of reach early on and gave the foul that led to Stoke's penalty.
