Monreal made three interceptions and put in three crosses during Saturday's 3-0 victory over Chelsea.

Monreal played well defensively against Chelsea's skilled wide players to help preserve the clean sheet, and he was able to support the attack at times as well. He has been a large part of Arsenal's recent defensive dominance, as they have allowed just four goals in the last six matches, and he will likely be in the starting XI again for Wednesday's Champions League match versus FC Basel.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Monreal is in the starting XI for Saturday's match with Arsenal.

Monreal will start at left-back and could have good fantasy upside in a match between two offensive-minded teams.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Monreal (ankle) was not listed among the list of injured players during manager Arsene Wenger's press conference on Friday

Monreal took a kick to his ankle in Arsenal's last match before the international break, coming off in the 72nd minute, but it was never considered serious and he'll likely slot back into the starting lineup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Monreal came off in the 72nd minute of Saturday's 3-1 victory over Watford with an ankle injury. "Monreal has a kick. It's nothing major," manager Arsene Wenger said after the match, Chris Wheatley of Gooner Talk reports.

Monreal was having a tough go of things on Saturday, facing immense pressure from Nordin Amrabat on the left side, but mostly held firm. While his injury didn't look too major, already facing something of an injury crisis and with reinforcements not-yet-arrived, Wenger was not going to take any chances and brought in Kieran Gibbs. With the international break looming, Monreal will have two weeks ahead of hosting Southampton and a stretch of seven matches in three weeks as their Champions League and League Cup campaigns kick off.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Monreal kept a clean sheet in Saturday's scoreless draw with Leicester City.

While Monreal's crossing was a bit suspect, particularly as he lofted ball after ball into the box without a target to aim at, his defense was exemplary. Faced with the stiff task of defending against Riyad Mahrez, Monreal mostly kept him at bay. When provided the cover afforded by Laurent Koscielny, he closed quickly, but found himself exposed by the still-shaky Arsenal defense too often for comfort.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Monreal tallied an assist and kept a clean sheet in Sunday's 4-0 victory over Aston Villa.

Despite being one of the most consistent performers on the field for Arsenal, he hasn't really shown up on the stat sheet much from a fantasy perspective. After a pair of assists on Sept. 26 against Leicester, Monreal hasn't tallied another one since in the Premier League. After four seasons in North London, the Spaniard has become one of the most stable, assured left backs in the Premier League and has likely forced Kieran Gibbs out of the side.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Monreal kept a clean sheet in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Norwich City.

Monreal was steady as always, staying strong at the back while providing overlapping support moving forward. While it took him some time to get his sea legs in the Premier League, the Spaniard has been as consistent as any left back in England.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Monreal kept a clean sheet in Sunday's scoreless draw with Sunderland.

Monreal was the team's only real threat moving forward, pumping a variety of crosses of varying quality into the box. Whereas his fellow fullback—Hector Bellerin—struggled, Monreal was arguably the top performer for an underperforming Gunners side.
