Schurrle came on in the 75th minute and scored four minutes later during Chelsea's 5-0 rout of Swansea City on Saturday.

Schurrle's goal was his first in Premier League play since Sept. 21 against Manchester City. With Willian and Eden Hazard locked into the midfield wing spots, Schurrle has been a popular name in transfer rumors this month.

Schurrle, who has been a doubt due to an illness, was an unused substitute Saturday against West Brom.

Manager Jose Mourinho used his subs on Ramires, Didier Drogba and Loic Remy on Saturday, which left Schurrle to stay warm on the bench. He's a decent contributor when he's on the pitch, but his playing is very inconsistent, which makes him a tough fantasy player to rely upon.

Schurrle will not play for Germany over the international break due to an infection that has prohibited him from training, The Guardian reports.

Schurrle will have to get some training in during the break if he wants a chance at being available for Chelsea's match against West Brom on Nov. 22.

Schurre returned from an illness as a late sub in Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.

Schurrle continues to move in-and-out of the starting XI for Chelsea, and he could very well be the lone striker in Tuesday's Capital One Cup match against Shrewsbury Town, though Diego Costa (hamstring) is expected to return for Saturday's Premier League match against QPR.

Schurrle battled the flu during the international break, and while he is not expected to play Tuesday, he may be able to return the following Sunday against Manchester United.

Schurrle (illness) will have a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's match against Crystal Palace, the Daily Mail reports.

Schurrle has battled the flu during the international break and is facing time off if he's unable to get healthy before Saturday's match. If he's ultimately unable to play, Chelsea's next match comes against Manchester United on Oct. 26.

Schurrle came off the bench and opened the scoring in Chelsea's 1-1 Premier League draw with Manchester City on Sunday.

After netting in the Premier League opener against Burnley on Aug. 18, Schurrle now has two goals in four appearances. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, it appears that he has lost his spot in the starting XI to Willian, which obviously limits his fantasy value.
