Sanogo has joined Ajax on a season-long loan from Arsenal.

Sanogo has been an enigmatic figure since he arrived at Arsenal in 2013. While he spent the second-half of last season on loan at Crystal Palace, the 22-year-old has still not scored a Premier League goal. However, with Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp currently an assistant manager at Ajax, Sanogo should receive quality instruction as he's handed more regular playing time in the Eredivisie this season.

Manager Alan Pardew said Thursday that Sanogo (hamstring) will not play Saturday against West Ham.

Sanogo isn't exactly known as being the most durable player, so it comes as no shock that he's unable to play due to injury. Palace have a bit of an injury issue up front, as Fraizer Campbell and Marouane Chamakh are both out with hamstring injuries as well, which could leave Dwight Gayle as a sole attacking forward. Pardew did not that Sanogo may be able to return March 14 against QPR.

Sanogo gets his first start in league play for Crystal Palace against Everton on Saturday.

Coming off a good FA Cup performance that featured a goal scored for the striker, Sanogo will look to add potency alongside Dwight Gayle and Jason Puncheon in their home match against the recently-struggling Everton.

Sanogo scored his first goal for Crystal Palace in Saturday's 3-2 win at Southampton in the FA Cup.

Sanogo slotted the ball home from just inside the 18-yard box following a pass from Wilfried Zaha. It's his first goal since arriving on loan from Arsenal earlier this month.

Sanogo has moved to Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season, according to the official club website.

Sanogo is the first signing of new manager Alan Pardew's reign that began at the start of 2015. We have given him an opportunity, he needs to play more games and I think hes ready for that and he proved that at Arsenal. Its tough to get in their team but hes closer to the starting action with us," Pardew said. Sanogo has played five times for Arsenal this season in all competitions and has a single goal against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Manager Arsene Wenger said Friday that he would like to loan Sanogo out to an English side during the January transfer window.

Sanogo has found first-team football hard to come by this season, both due to injuries and his spot on the depth chart behind Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez.

Manager Arsene Wenger said Friday that Sanogo is dealing with a calf problem and may not be available for Saturday's match against Stoke City.

With Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck both fit, Sanogo wasn't likely to get much playing time anyway.
