Muniesa (hamstring) will be out for a few weeks with a hamstring tear suffered during the team's Capital One Cup tie with Chelsea. "It's unfortunate for him and for us because it is a grade two, or even a grade three tear which means he's looking at a minimum of three or four weeks," manager Mark Hughes said.

Stoke has suffered a number of injury troubles throughout the course of the season and this injury hurts the team's depth even further. After starting each of the first five matches, Muniesa hasn't played in a Premier League match since Sept. 12.

Muniesa returned to the pitch as a starter on Oct. 27 against Chelsea.

Muniesa returned from his undisclosed injury in a penalty win over Chelsea. While he did get the start, he was substituted off early in the second half for Marc Wilson. He'll continue to ease back into fixtures and rebuild his fitness before he goes all 90 minutes.

Muniesa signed a four-year contract with Stoke City on a free transfer from FC Barcelona, according to ESPN FC.

Muniesa is a product of the Barcelona youth system and was the second youngest player to ever debut for the senior club. He was an extremely promising player earlier in his career and he'll look to reinvent himself in the Premier League this season.
