Bony took one shot, which was on goal, during his Manchester City debut Saturday against Newcastle.

Bony came off the bench in his first match for City, with Edin Dzeko starting up front alongside Sergio Aguero. Given the hefty fee paid by the Citizens to bring him aboard from Swansea, it wouldn't be surprising if he earned a starting job sooner rather than later.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bony is available off the bench for Saturday's match against Newcastle.

Bony is still expected to feature, and he could be the easy replacement for Sergio Aguero, who will start despite dealing with a back injury recently.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini said Friday that Bony is in the squad for Saturday's match against Newcastle, but he would not reveal whether he would start.

There are a couple factors working in Bony's favor to start, as Sergio Aguero has been battling some back soreness recently, which could mean he is rested ahead of Tuesday's Champions League match against Barcelona. Bony certainly has plenty of upside either way, but starter's minutes would surely make him an attractive fantasy option.

Bony will have to wait until Feb. 21 against Newcastle to make his Manchester City debut.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bony officially signed with Manchester City on Wednesday after transferring from Swansea City.

Bony, who is away with the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations, has been magnificent for Swansea this season, but it is unclear exactly where he fits in with Man City. Sergio Aguero will certainly start when he's fit, leaving Bony to battle with Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko for playing time.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Manchester City have agreed a £25 million transfer fee for Bony, which can rise to £28 million, and he will sign a four-and-a-half year, £100,000 per week contract, The Guardian reports.

Bony is currently with the Ivory Coast for the Africa Cup of Nations, but he'll then join a crowded strike force in Manchester led by Sergio Aguero, Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko, each of whom have dealt with injuries this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bony, who is with the Ivory Coast for the Africa Cup of Nations, is reportedly a major target of Manchester City, who could pay over £30 million, the BBC reports.

Bony was the Premier League goal-leader in 2014 and his excellent play this season has only made his price go higher after Swansea purchased him for £12 million in 2013 from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.

Bony scored off the bench in Thursday's 1-1 draw with QPR, his final match for Swansea City before leaving for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Bony has been excellent this season, scoring nine goals and setting up two others in 20 Premier League appearances. The length of his absence depends on how far Ivory Coast can advance in the tournament, but Bafetimbi Gomis is expected to start for Swansea in Bony's place.
