Strootman put up his first point of the season with an assist, and added two tackles in Roma's 3-1 victory over AC Milan.

Strootman is finally back to full health after a disastrous two seasons and has made five appearances this season. If he can stay fit next season, expect him to become an important contributor as the Giallorossi attempt to finally dethrone Juventus.

Strootman (knee) has healed completely and is now available for Roma, Gazzetta World reports.

The Dutch midfielder has already made two substitute appearances for the Giallorossi since returning from his lengthy absence. A fit Strootman is one of Serie A's finest players and Roma will be looking to gradually reintroduce him into the side as they stake their claim for the Champions League next season.

Strootman had successful knee surgery and is expected to return in a few months time, Football Italia reports.

Roma has perhaps the best midfield in Serie A, but adding Strootman will make them even stronger.

Strootman is expected to undergo a third surgery on his knee, which could rule him out for the entire 2015/16 season, ESPN FC reports.

Strootman's first surgery was back in March 2014, but he had to have another one in January after he played just seven times. Roma have clearly moved on without him, and while he wasn't expected to make a significant impact this season due to how long he's been sidelined, this only pushes his return back even further.

Roma announced Thursday that Strootman underwent knee surgery in the Netherlands on Wednesday, with Strootman tweeting that he will be out for a couple weeks.

Strootman has been heavily linked to a move to Manchester United this season, but the knee surgery will all but remove that possibility. It's been an injury-plagued season for the Dutchman, who has no goals and two assists in only six Serie A appearances.

Roma's general director Mauro Baldissoni said that Strootman would not be leaving the club in January to join Manchester United, reports the Daily Mail.

Roma is growing frustrated that rumors concerning Strootman's future continue to circulate. The club insists he is not going to transfer away, even if presented with a large transfer fee.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Strootman briefly played in his first match since March when Roma defeated Torino 3-0 on Sunday.

Strootman missed the World Cup and has been mentioned as a transfer target for Manchester United. Now that he's fit following a torn ACL, the transfer chatter will surely start up again.

Strootman suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's Serie A match against Napoli and he will miss the rest of the season, reports. Additionally, he has been ruled out for this summer's World Cup.

This is a huge blow for Roma, who went from a crowded midfield to one that's searching for answers, after Strootman's injury and the January sale of Michael Bradley to Toronto FC of Major League Soccer.
