Costa scored a goal on five shots (two on target) in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Norwich City.

Costa has been very underwhelming this season, but calmly slotted home a goal just after the hour-mark to score his third Premier League goal of the season. The big strikerólike the rest of the Bluesóhas underperformed, but after a couple of strong performances in a row by the team, it will be interesting to see if they can get back on track.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Costa failed to take a single shot Saturday against Liverpool, and he remains on two goals in nine Premier League appearances this season.

Chelsea's struggles have been well documented, and while a lot can be attributed to their defensive deficiencies (they allowed three goals Saturday), Costa has also not come close to matching his form of last season. His starting spot isn't likely in jeopardy, as Falcao and Loic Remy have done little to warrant consideration over Costa, but his fantasy prospects are bleak.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Costa (ribs) is starting against Liverpool on Saturday.

Costa was iffy for the match because of the rib issue picked up during the midweek Capital One Cup match, but he passed fit and will lead the line, as usual.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Costa (ribs) will have a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's match against Liverpool, manager Jose Mourinho said Friday.

Costa suffered the injury during the midweek Capital One Cup match against Stoke City, and while it's not considered overly serious, it could be enough to hold him out against Liverpool, which would open up a starting spot for Loic Remy or Falcao.

Costa(ribs) will be ready to face Liverpool on Saturday, according to Daily Star .

The forward limped off the field in the 33-Rd minute of the League Cup defeat by Stoke City on Tuesday and was taken to hospital after the game with rib injury. According to doctors, however, he should be ready to take on the Reds on Saturday in a critical, for manager Jose Mourinho, game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Costa got off two shots and scored a goal in a 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.

Costa made his first start after a three-match ban and rewarded his manager with a fine first half goal. The schedule lightens up over the next few weeks and this may be a good time to buy into Costa when his value is at a low. Chelsea take on West Ham next Saturday in their next fixture.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Costa is starting Saturday against Aston Villa following his three-match ban for violent conduct.

The Blues' attack hasn't been nearly as bad as their defense, and Costa has plenty of fantasy upside Saturday against an Aston Villa side that has also struggled. Costa will be relied upon even more for goals, as Eden Hazard is on the bench.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Costa is eligible for Saturday's match against Aston Villa after serving a three-match ban for violent conduct.

Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao each got a Premier League start while Costa was out (he also missed a Capital One Cup tie) but neither player was good enough to expect another start ahead of Costa.
