Costa (hamstring) is in the starting lineup Monday against West Brom.

Costa has not played since April 4 against Stoke due to the ailment, and while Chelsea have nothing to play for given that they've already won the title, Costa will get at least one chance to try to reach 20 goals for the season.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said Friday that Costa (hamstring) is expected to be available Monday against West Brom.

Chelsea have already locked up the title, so there was no reason for rush Costa back before he was fully fit. He has consistently maintained that he wants to play again this season, and it appears Mourinho is at least open to the possibility now. If Costa does start Monday, Loic Remy will move back to the bench, though Costa is unlikely to play 90 minutes.

Manager Jose Mourinho said Friday that Costa (hamstring) may return at some point this season.

Costa is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, and with Chelsea already clinching the title, there seems to be little reason to put him back on the pitch. Mourinho noted that Costa wants to play, but if there is a possibility he could aggravate the injury further, he'll continue to sit out.

Costa (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's match against Crystal Palace, and manager Jose Mourinho said Costa may not play again this season. "There is a chance he might not play again this season," Mourinho said. "If we win on Sunday, I would say he doesn't play against Liverpool. If we don't win on Sunday, I would say he plays against Liverpool."

Chelsea will clinch the Premier League title with a win Sunday, which gives Costa little reason to return if they take all three points. With Costa out, Loic Remy could return, as Mourinho deemed him fit after recovering from a calf injury.

Costa (hamstring) is not in the 18-man squad to face Leicester City on Wednesday.

Manager Jose Mourinho intimated that Costa would be available, though it was certainly no guarantee. His original timeframe for recovery had him missing this game, so he'll have to wait until Sunday against Crystal Palace to get back on the pitch. Didier Drogba will start up front for the Blues.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said Monday that he is still unsure if Costa (hamstring) will be able to play Wednesday at Leicester City. "I don't know about Diego Costa," Mourinho said. "I have to think if it deserves a gamble or if we wait a few more days to be completely sure. If it was a player without an injury history I would play him tomorrow, but because he is a player with a history I have to think about that."

Costa re-injured his hamstring earlier this month and was expected back for the final four matches of the season. Wednesday's tie is one before that mark, and with Chelsea needing just six points out of their last five matches, there appears to be little reason for Costa to be rushed back.

Costa (hamstring) is not in the 18-man squad to face Arsenal on Sunday.

Loic Remy (calf) is also sidelined, while Didier Drogba (ankle) is available off the bench, leaving Chelsea without a true striker Sunday.

Costa will not play against Arsenal on Sunday because of a lingering hamstring injury, according to Daily Mail.

The Spain international underwent a late fitness test on Saturday, but was deemed unready to return by the team physicians. With fellow striker Loic Remy will also set to miss out due to injury, Didier Drogba will be the only healthy striker in the squad for this weekend's match.
