Costa scored a goal on three shots (two on target), but was withdrawn on 68 minutes with what appeared to be an injury in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Arsenal.

Costa was electric all afternoon. He drew a red card from Per Mertesacker in the 18th minute and then converted a good, low cross from Branislav Ivanovic in the 23rd minute. The ever-controversial striker has been in an outstanding run of form, scoring five goals and adding two assists in his past five Premier League matches. It was a bit concerning when he was withdrawn in the 68th minute as he appeared to pick up an injury of some kind. However, it did not look to be related to the bruised shin that held him out of training for much of the week.

Costa will start against Arsenal on Sunday, after limited training during the week.

Costa is a crucial part of Chelsea's attack and has been in great form recently, and despite not training much this week, he'll take his regular spot leading the attack.

Costa (shin) has not trained much this week, but will be available for Sunday's derby against Arsenal.

Costa played an instrumental role in the last match against Arsenal, getting Gabriel sent off and led Chelsea to victory over a 10-man Arsenal. The bruised shin he suffered looked quite serious, but despite not training much this week, manager Gus Hiddink believes he'll be available. Costa has been in a strong run of form of late, scoring four goals and adding two assists in his last four matches.

Costa was diagnosed with a bruised tibia Monday after suffering the leg injury during Saturday's match against Everton, the BBC reports.

Costa had a goal and an assist before suffering the injury, and while it's certainly good news that he did not suffer a fracture, the injury makes him very questionable to face Arsenal this weekend.

Costa was taken to the hospital after Saturday's match against Everton to get scans on his shin injury, the London Evening Standard reports.

Costa had to be taken off in the 80th minute due to the injury, and it remains unclear how exactly he suffered the ailment. Costa has been excellent since the sacking of manager Jose Mourinho, but if he has to miss any time, Loic Remy could start up front.

Costa scored a goal on three shots (one on target) and tallied an assist in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Everton.

What a difference a new manager makes. Since Jose Mourinho was sacked, Costa has four goals and two assists in five matches. Despite his discipline problems, that reared their ugly head in two separate suspensions, he's still a potent goal scorer when playing up the center of the pitch. He has nine goals and six assists in 26 matches across all competitions.

Costa (knee) is starting Wednesday against West Brom.

Manager Guus Hiddink confirmed Tuesday that Costa was fit after picking up the injury during Sunday's FA Cup match against Scunthorpe United, and while he's in the first XI, it's possible that he could play fewer than 90 minutes, as Loic Remy is also fit and Chelsea plays again Saturday against Everton.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Costa (knee) is fit to play Wednesday against West Brom, and manager Guus Hiddink indicated that he would start.

Costa picked up the injury during Sunday's FA Cup match against Scunthorpe United, and while he was initially considered doubtful to face West Brom, it was never expected to hold him out long-term. Loic Remy (calf) is also fit to play, which would allow Hiddink to not play Costa the full 90 minutes.
