Gotze scored in the 23rd minute of Bayern Munich's 7-1 rout of Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Gotze has been excellent this season and has now scored three times in his last two matches after bagging a brace against Werder Bremen on Saturday in Bundesliga play. Despite playing on a stacked Bayern squad, Gotze continues to put himself in the conversation among the best midfielders in Germany.

Gotze scored twice and moved to the top of the Bundesliga scoring charts as Bayern Munich demolished Werder Bremen 6-0 Saturday.

Gotze scored his first goals since the end of September and made it six goals in seven as Bayern overwhelmed Werder Bremen. He turned and finished expertly for his first goal and then stroked the ball past Bremen goalkeeper Raphael Wolf late on for his second and Bayern's sixth. Now top scorer in the Bundesliga, expect many more goals from Gotze and a rampant Bayern side.

Gotze scored in the 19th minute of Bayern Munich's 2-0 Bundesliga win over FC Cologne on Saturday.

Gotze now has four goals in his last three Bundesliga starts and he appears to be cementing his spot in the starting XI. There are plenty of offensive weapons around him, but given their high price tags in most salary cap games, Gotze may be the best value on the Bayern team sheet.

Gotze scored two goals during Bayern Munich's 4-0 Bundesliga win over Paderborn on Tuesday.

Gotze now has three league goals in his last three games, as he is getting more consistent starts early in the season. With this kind of play, there's no reason for him to be used as a sub in the near-term.

Gotze scored in the 51st minute of Germany's 2-2 draw with Ghana at the World Cup on Saturday.

The goal was preceded by an excellent cross by Thomas Muller, which Gotze took off his face and then kneed the ball into the net. It wasn't pretty, but it still put Germany up on the board first. The goal was Gotze's first career World Cup goal, and he has now scored 10 international goals in 31 appearances.

Gotze came on for Thomas Muller in the 64th minute and scored in the 86th minute of Bayern Munich's 2-0 win over Mainz on Saturday.

Gotze's goal ended a bit of a scoring drought, as the German had not found the back of the net in league play since February 2 against Frankfurt. The 21-year-old has fit in quite nicely with Bayern this season, and is slated to have a long and successful career.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gotze was held out of Saturday's Bundesliga match against VfL Wolfsburg after picking up a muscle injury while playing for Germany on Wednesday.

The issue does not appear to be a serious one, and Bayern were no worse off, routing Wolfsburg 6-1. Gotze is not expected to be out long, and could very well return for Tuesday's Champions League match against Arsenal.
