Cabella had a disappointing debut season in England, scoring just one goal with two assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.

The Frenchman showed considerable talent throughout the season, but his efforts simply didn't translate into goals. Not quite the return Newcastle were hoping for after shelling out over $18 million for the 25-year-old last summer, and they will hope Cabella flourishes next season after this adjustment period.

Cabella performed well in this one, but still has just a goal and two assists to his name on the season. Newcastle next faces Sunderland on April 5.

Cabella will return from his knee injury to face Everton on Sunday, manager John Carver confirmed Friday.

Cabella has been training all week after missing three games due to the ailment, which came at a terrible time given how well he was finally playing in a Newcastle kit. Everton have been a bit leaky this season, which could allow Cabella to continue his scoring ways.

Cabella (knee) will not play Saturday against Aston Villa.

Cabella had been in good form before going down with the injury, and the Newcastle attack has stalled somewhat of late. Given the quick turnaround, he appears unlikely to play Wednesday against Manchester United.

Cabella will not play Saturday against Manchester City after straining a medial ligament in his knee during training Monday, the Newcastle Chronicle reports. Manager John Carver said "it's not a serious issue but it will almost certainly keep him out at the weekend."

While Carver didn't 100 percent rule Cabella out, it certainly doesn't sound like he's even that close to playing. If he does sit, his next opportunity to play will come Feb. 28 against Aston Villa.

Cabella suffered a knee injury during training and is now facing a late-fitness test ahead of Saturday's match against Manchester City, the Hartlepool Mail reports.

Those that have a vested interest in Cabella will want to make alternative arrangements in the event that the 24-year-old is deemed unfit to take the pitch Saturday. If he ultimately stays off the pitch, his next opportunity to play will be against Aston Villa on Feb. 28.

Cabella scored his first goal of the season during Newcastle's 3-0 win over Hull City on Saturday.

Cabella had taken seven shots in his last two matches, but his only shot Saturday resulted in the goal. He finally seems to have locked into a spot in the starting XI, though a change in manager could adjust his playing time yet again.

Cabella took four shots (none on goal) and made a game-high six key passes during Newcastle's 2-1 loss to Southampton on Saturday.

Cabella has been active lately, taking seven shots in the last two games, but only one has been on goal. Overall it's been a disappointing season for Cabella in most fantasy formats, as he has no goals and just one assist, which came back on Oct. 26 against Spurs.
