Januzaj converted his only shot of the day into the game's only goal to give United a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa on Friday.

Getting a somewhat rare start, Januzaj carefully slotted a 29th minute shot into the right corner of the net thanks to a deflection off a Villa defender. After being held without a goal across all competitions last season for both club and country, the 20-year-old midfielder showed that he's ready for primetime this season. With heavy competition in the United midfield, he'll need to keep up this form in order to continue seeing starts.

Manager Louis van Gaal said Friday that Januzaj's ankle injury is not serious, though he is unlikely to be available for Sunday's match against Everton.

Even when he's fully fit, Januzaj doesn't get nearly enough playing time to make an impact in nearly any fantasy format.

Januzaj suffered an ankle injury during an U-21 match Monday.

Januzaj reportedly pulled up while chasing a ball down in the 54th minute and had to be subbed off immediately. He'll undergo scans to determine the severity of the ailment, though he's been a bit player for manager Louis van Gaal this season, so an injury absence isn't likely to dent many fantasy squads.

Januzaj admitted that he is having trouble adapting to the tactics employed by manager Lous van Gaal this season, reports the Daily Mail.

The young midfielder has only made six starts with the club since Van Gaal took over, but did play in Manchester United's last two matches before being left out of the team's FA Cup replay on Tuesday. He pointed out the defending duties of a wing-back as being part of his struggle.

Januzaj is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against Leicester City.

Januzaj gets the start on the right side of the midfield, with Juan Mata dropped to the bench. He's got plenty of firepower around him, with Robin van Persie, Falcao, Wayne Rooney and Angel di Maria starting, which could give Januzaj extra space to get close to goal.

Manchester United rejected a new transfer bid for Januzaj from Paris Saint-Germain, reports the Daily Mail.

Januzaj has been linked to PSG multiple times, but Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has said that the young midfielder will not leave this winter. There was earlier speculation that Januzaj may leave for a loan, but even that move appears unlikely now.

Januzaj is expected to be sent on loan during the winter transfer window to earn more playing time, according to the Daily Mail.

The young midfielder hasn't seen much time on the pitch since manager Louis van Gaal became manager. Januzaj also struggled with a few injuries this season, but has only made two appearances for the team since November.
