Isco scored in the 22nd minute of Real Madrid's 2-0 win over Deportivo on Saturday.

Isco banged in his only shot of the game to record his third goal of the season and first in league play since Dec. 12 against Almeria. He's playing a more advanced position in place of the injured James Rodriguez, a role he'll likely continue to play in Wednesday's Champions League match against Schalke.

Isco picked up an assist in Real Madrid's 2-1 win over Sevilla on Wednesday, his second consecutive game with an assist after grabbing one against Real Sociedad last Saturday.

Madrid lost James Rodriguez to a broken foot Wednesday, which means Isco could see even more playing time than he's already been getting, though it'll be in a more attacking role.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Isco was unavailable for Saturday's La Liga match against Cordoba because of a muscle strain, Marca reports.

The injury doesn't appear to be overly serious, and Isco is not expected to be out for long. Sami Khedira got his first La Liga start of the season Saturday in Isco's place, though newcomer Lucas Silva could be in line for playing time in the coming games as well.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Isco is expected to move back into the starting XI in place of Luka Modric, who is sidelined for at least three months with a groin injury, ESPN FC reports.

Isco has been in excellent form, though he recently was playing in place of the injured Gareth Bale, who has returned to fitness. Replacing Modric will leave him in a much more defensive role, but if he's able to move up while Toni Kroos holds back, he could still be a valuable fantasy contributor.

Isco scored his first goal of the season, while also adding an assist, in Real Madrid's 5-0 rout of Levante on Saturday.

Isco got the start in place of Gareth Bale, who sat out with an illness. He is an incredible talent when he's on the field, but Isco's playing time is just too inconsistent to rely upon in most fantasy formats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Isco came on for Luka Modric in the 71st minute and grabbed two assists in Real Madrid's 8-2 La Liga win over Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.

Isco continues to find it hard to break into the starting XI, but Madrid have so many goal-scorers on the teamsheet that Isco is a threat to pick up an assist or score a goal himself whenever he's on the field.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Isco assisted on Cristiano Ronaldo's 90th minute goal during Real Madrid's 2-0 win over Cordoba on Monday.

Isco didn't even enter the match until the 70th minute when he subbed on for James Rodriguez. The Madrid midfield is absolutely stacked this season, which could make it tough for Isco to see consistent appearances in the starting XI.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Isco was inserted into the Starting XI for Sunday's match against Getafe after Gareth Bale pulled out with a groin injury. The Spaniard went on to score a goal in the 59th minute before being subbed off for Jese in the 84th.

Isco has been excellent for Los Blancos this season, scoring four goals and recording an assist through five matches. He'll look to keep it going Wednesday against Elche.
