Courtois signed a five-year contract extension with Chelsea on Thursday.

Courtois spent the last three seasons on loan at La Liga side Atletico Madrid, but was kept at Chelsea this season to displace Petr Cech as the Blues' top keeper. He has started all three Premier League matches this season, though he'll have a tough test this weekend against Swansea City, who have surprised many this season with their nine points through three matches (tying Chelsea at the top of the table).

Courtois made three saves but allowed three goals during Chelsea's 6-3 rout of Everton on Saturday.

Most of the goals were out of Courtois' control, so it's tough to fault him for giving up so many, especially when Chelsea held a 2-0 lead after just four minutes. Up next is a matchup against a surprising Swansea City side on Sept. 13 at Stamford Bridge after the international break.

Courtois made four saves during Chelsea's 2-0 win over Leicester on Saturday, registering his first career Premier League clean sheet.

Courtois led La Liga last season in clean sheets while he was on loan with Atletico Madrid, and he is expected to get plenty more this season. He has started both of Chelsea's Premier League matches this season and seems to have fully won the starting keeper job over Petr Cech, who remains at Stamford Bridge, but could certainly be moved before the transfer window closes. Up next is a tough trip to Goodison Park to face an Everton side that has scored four goals in two matches.

Courtois made one save during Chelsea's 3-1 win over Burnley on Monday.

After manager Jose Mourinho speculated that Courtois would be held out of the match due to minimal training following the World Cup, the Belgian keeper got the start ahead of longtime Blues keeper Petr Cech, who will continue to fight for the starting job until he's sent elsewhere. Courtois lost his clean sheet just 14 minutes into the match, but a home match against Leicester City on Saturday could get him his first Premier League clean sheet.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Courtois is starting Chelsea's Premier League opener against Burnley on Monday ahead of Petr Cech.

Manager Jose Mourinho previously indicated that he was going to hold out his players who made it at least to the quarterfinals of the World Cup, which included Courtois, Eden Hazard, Andre Schurrle, and Oscar, but each one of them is starting Monday. Courtois is certainly the future in goal for Chelsea, and it appears that his future begins now.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Courtois is expected to be held out of Chelsea's Premier League opener Monday against Burnley, ESPN FC reports.

Courtois is in a battle with Petr Cech for the starting keeper position but after making it to the quarterfinal of the World Cup with Belgium, manager Jose Mourinho has deemed Courtois not fit enough to begin the season. He isn't expected to be out long and fantasy owners will have to wait until Gameweek 2 to find out if Courtois has won the job or not.
