Guedioura appeared as an 84th minute substitute in Sunday's 3-2 win against Everton.

Guedioura replaced James McArthur in the centre of midfield and had a chance to put the game out of sight but pulled his shot wide of the goal. Guedioura won't register on most fantasy manager radars due to his lack of goals and assists that stem from a dearth of appearances.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Guédioura could be in line for a first Premier League start of the season in Saturday’s game at Newcastle United.

Guédioura should benefit from injuries to both Joe Ledley (groin) and Stuart O’Keefe (ankle) to fill in as central midfielder alongside Mile Jedinak. Guédioura set up one of Dwight Gayle’s goals in the 3-0 rout of Walsall in the Capital One Cup second round and holds more of an attacking threat than both Ledley and O’Keefe. Should Guédioura impress new boss Neil Warnock, fantasy owners could see small benefits in the assist column, however, he is still very much a low-level fantasy option.

Guedioura had an assist in Tuesday’s 3-1 win at Walsall in the Capital One Cup second round.

Guedioura was starting for the first time this season and impressed enough in the middle of the park that he could be called into the side alongside captain Mile Jedinak in central midfield. Fellow rivals for that position Joe Ledley (groin) and Stuart O’Keefe (ankle) are both doubts for Saturday’s game at Newcastle and the Algerian international is another that will be hoping to impress once a new manager is appointed.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Guedioura is in the starting XI for Saturday's Premier League match against Stoke City.

Guedioura makes his return from two broken ribs and a damaged lung that he suffered back in the beginning of November. His fantasy value primarily relies on Palace's ability to keep clean sheets, which could certainly happen this week.

Guedioura returned to the lineup for last week's match against Tottenham and managed to play the final eight minutes. The Croydon Advertiser reports the Crystal Palace defender is now hopeful to be in the Starting XI when the Eagles host Stoke City on Saturday.

Guedioura has only started three matches for Crystal Palace but was in the Starting XI before injuring his ribs. When he returns, his value will be tied to Crystal Palace's ability to keep clean sheets.

Guedioura fractured two ribs and damaged his lung after colliding with West Ham goalkeeper, Boaz Myhill, last Saturday, reports the Daily Star. The injury is expected to sideline Guedioura for six weeks.

Guedioura had started three of Crystal Palace's last four matches. While having yet to find the back of the net, the defender was averaging over two shots per game since being added to the Starting XI.

Guedioura transfers from Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee. He originally joined the club on loan, but was purchased at the end of last season. He is also a consistent player on the Algerian national team, where he's made 27 appearances in his career.
