Tettey was held out of Saturday's match against Chelsea because of a thigh injury.

Tettey plays as a defensive midfielder, who his fantasy upside is fairly limited in most formats. It's unclear how serious the injury is, which clouds his potential return date.

Tettey completed 38 passes and picked up midfield clean sheet and win in the 1-0 home win over Swansea on Saturday.

The Norwegian took over the leadership of the team in the absence of natural skipper Russell Martin. He controlled the midfield and the team well for the, so important, victory. Nevertheless, no matter how crucial his play will be for the Canaries over the next several games, his fantasy relevance would be far from that level with him having no major fantasy stats under his tally, thus far in the season.

Having undergone surgery on his injured ankle, manger Chris Hughton hopes Tettey will only be sidelined until the end of January.

The left back had only started five league games this season, and was proving to be poor fantasy value in a porous canaries defense. Where Norwich sit in the table come January will be a major factor on if you can take a chance on Tettey when he is fully fit.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Tettey had original been ruled out by Norwich manager Chris Hughton for several weeks with the knock he took to the ankle in the Canaries game against Cardiff. But he has had to go under the knife this week to address the problem, and according to Sky Sports he could miss two to three months of action.

Norwich are having trouble keeping clean sheets this season, they have only managed 3 out of the first ten games. While at the other end of the pitch they have only managed a meagre 6 goals. In an effort to improve results, manager Chris Hughton has had to chop and chance his midfield more than he would have wished. Norwich have used differing combinations of 9 midfielders in the league this season. So while obviously Tettey has to be outside your Fantasy plans until the new year, it is hard to call who will by a mainstay in the centre for Norwich until results and performances start to improve.

Tettey (ankle) has been ruled out for several weeks by manager Chris Hughton.

Tettey missed the midweek League Cup clash with Manchester United with a problem. Chris Hughton confirmed today that Tettey would be sidelined for several weeks. Martin Olsson should find his position at left back even more secure with Tettey out of the picture for awhile.
