Ward (knee) won't take part this Saturday against West Bromwich Albion, according to manager Alan Pardew.

Ward (knee) has not recovered fully enough to return to his spot at right back and Martin Kelly will continue in his place. The medical team told manager Alan Pardew that they expect Ward to return against West Ham on October 17. Ward has been prolific from a fantasy point of view this season with two goals and will look for that trend to continue when he returns.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ward (knee) has been ruled out for up to four weeks due to an injury in training, according to manager Alan Pardew.

Ward (knee) suffered the injury training and is likely to be replaced by back-up Martin Kelly. Ward has been one of the most potent scorers in most fantasy games so far this season with two goals yet has failed to register one clean sheet. Expect him to return on Oct. 17 against West Ham United.

Ward scored the winner in Saturday's 2-1 win at Chelsea.

Ward found himself in the right place as Bakary Sako knocked back Yannick Bolasie's shot into his path and the right back made no mistake with an 81st minute header from three yards out. Ward has two goals on the season and has been given license by manager Alan Pardew to bomb forwards at any opportunity.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ward scored a goal in the 28th minute of Crystal Palace's 2-1 loss to Arsenal on Sunday.

Ward's rare goal came from a low right-footed shot that flashed across the penalty area into the net's bottom left corner. In fact, Ward actually led Palace with two shots on goal Sunday. Next weekend, the Englishman has a good chance of securing his first clean sheet of the season, as the Eagles welcome Aston Villa to Selhurst Park.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ward has picked up five clean sheets this season.

Ward, an ever present this campaign, has been part of a defence that has stopped the opponent scoring just five times.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ward took a second clean sheet of the season in Saturday 2-0 win over Leicester.

Ward continues to excel in an unfamiliar left back role and looked assured in Crystal Palace's second win of the season. The full back now looks like taking a clean sheet in most home games and a handful of away fixtures.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ward registered a first clean sheet of the season in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Burnley.

Ward played at left back and was part of a familiar defence that was first choice under manager Tony Pulis last season. Goalkeeper Julian Speroni saved a late penalty to keep Ward’s sheet clean, however, the side’s back line looked far from confident against one of the league’s lesser lights.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ward is set to return to action Saturday as Crystal Palace take on Southampton, reports London24.

Ward will play his first match since a late August match against Sunderland. Though he returns, he still has very little fantasy value as he has taken zero shots and recorded zero clean sheets in his three appearances.
