Kross played a technically excellent game Sunday but couldn't stop Real Madrid falling to a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona.

Kross produced a superb passing display despite Barcelona eventually winning the midfield battle. The German was also excellent defensively, completing more tackles (7) than any other player on the team.

Kroos got an assist Tuesday in Real Madrid's 4-3 loss to Schalke in the Champions League.

Kroos played 76 minutes as Real Madrid fell to a surprise 1-0 defeat Saturday at Athletic Bilbao.

Kroos was named to the FIFA FIFPro World XI on Monday.

Kroos is coming off a remarkable year from a trophy standpoint, as he won the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich and then the World Cup with Germany before transferring to Real Madrid. As a holding midfielder, he doesn't always get a ton of fantasy stats in traditional games -- he had just two goals and four assists in 29 Bundesliga appearances last season -- but he's getting a little more involved this season, as he has one goal and seven assists in 17 La Liga starts this term.

Kroos has been an assist machine for Los Blancos. Putting one in the bag was just a matter of time, and Saturday's glorified walkthrough against Rayo was the time.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kroos picked up his fourth assist of the season in Real Madrid's 5-0 win over Levante on Saturday.

While Kroos plays a much more defensive role for Madrid, he continues to find himself in a position to help out on goals purely because of the incredible weapons around him. That being said, his fantasy value is still a bit limited, especially against the other offensive weapons in the squad.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kroos picked up an assist in Real Madrid's 2-0 win over Villarreal on Saturday, his third of the season.

With so many offensive stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema in front of him, Kroos is bound to find himself on the receiving end of a few assists, but he's not primarily focused on the attack, which limits his value in many fantasy leagues.
