Bertrand returned to the lineup in Southampton's 1-0 loss to West Brom on Saturday, playing 90 minutes and supplying seven crosses while playing in a more advanced position.

Any hope for a clean sheet was spoiled in the second minute in this one, but Bertrand was able to remain productive thanks to his new role. While he should slot back into his natural fullback position in short order, he is an attractive option nonetheless against Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

Bertrand will serve the final game of his suspension this Sunday against Liverpool, and he will be eligible to return Feb. 28 against West Brom.

The game against Liverpool wasn't a great one from a fantasy perspective anyway, especially given how well the Liverpool attack has been of late. That being said, Bertrand has shown an ability to put up points in leagues that reward crosses and other defensive stats like clearances and tackles, but fantasy owners will have to wait a week more before plugging him back into their lineups.

Bertrand provided the assist for Southampton's only goal in a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa on Monday.

The left full-back overlapped well and put in a cross for Nathaniel Clyne's equaliser. He now has two assists and a goal in the Premier League. Bertrand has been a big part of Southampton's success the season, getting forward to attack whilst maintaining a solid defence.
