Gestede headed the consolation home on two shots (one on target) in 25 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to Everton.

Gestede ties up Jordan Ayew, with five, as the team-leading scorer. He's played well most of the time he's been on the field but, the problem is that he doesn't get enough playing time (only 10 starts from 24 Premier League appearances) to warrant a serious fantasy consideration. The main reason for that was a stretch of 15 games, in the mid-stages of the season, without a goal. Now, on the other hand however, the striker has two goals and an assist in his last four Premier League games all off the bench. May be that would give him a boost and a starting spot on the Saturday's visit to the Etihad.

Gestede (hamstring) is available off the bench Saturday against Stoke City.

Gestede has been out for a few weeks, so it's not surprising that he's unable to start in his return. Gabriel Agbonlahor will lead the line Saturday.

Gestede has been deemed fit for Saturday's match versus Stoke after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The striker has been out since exiting in the second half of Aston Villa's away match versus West Brom, but the break allowed him adequate time to heal.Gestede could find himself immediately inserted into the lineup, as Jordan Ayew will be suspended for the match while Gabriel Agbonlahor is dealing with an injury.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gestede (hamstring) is not in the 18-man squad to face Liverpool on Sunday.

Gestede has found regular playing time hard to come by this season, and his absence will ensure Gabriel Agbonlahor remains in the starting XI.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gestede (hamstring) will have a late fitness test ahead of Sunday's match against Liverpool.

Gestede has been sidelined since suffering the injury back on Jan. 23 against West Brom, though he could get a chance to start against Liverpool, with Jordan Ayew suspended. Gestede gives Villa a big presence in the box, and it's worth noting that he bagged a brace against Liverpool in their first matchup on Sept. 26.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gestede (hamstring) is out for Saturday's match against Norwich City.

The big center forward has been in something of a holding pattern of late, looking like he could return in the run-up to the match, but eventually being held out. With Libor Kozak out as well, Villa is down to just Gabby Agbonlahor and Scott Sinclair up front against the Canaries. Gestede has four goals in 22 matches this season with two of those goals coming as a substitute.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gestede will miss out on Tuesday's match versus West Ham because of a hamstring injury.

The striker appeared as a subtsitute in last week's match versus West Brom, but he came away with the injury and was forced to miss this past weekend's FA Cup fixture with Manchester City. Fellow striker Libor Kozak is also expected to miss Tuesday's match, leaving the door open for Scott Sinclair or Gabriel Agbonlahor to enter the starting lineup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gestede did not play in Saturday's FA Cup tie against Manchester City because of his hamstring injury, but he may be able to return for Tuesday's Premier League match against West Ham, manager Remi Garde said.

Gestede provides plenty of size in the box for Villa, and with their crossing fullbacks in Aly Cissokho and Leandro Bacuna, he's always a possibility for a goal, though given Villa's struggles this season, he makes for more of a dart throw than a consistent fantasy option.
