Manager Mauricio Pochettino said Kane could return from his ankle injury sooner than expected after the latest scan of the injury, reports Sky Sports.

The striker was expected to miss up to two months with ligament damage suffered a week ago against Sunderland, but Pochettino said the scan was positive and much better than expected. It may still be too early to tell exactly how long Kane will remain out of action, but the injury appears to be healing appropriately.

Multiple scans on Kane's ankle indicated ligament damage that is expected to keep him out of action for up to two months, reports the Daily Mail.

The type of ligament damage the striker received could fall into a category that generally takes between six to eight weeks to recover from. The tests ruled out a fracture, but is still significant enough to keep the star out of action until November.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kane was seen using crutches after Sunday's match against Sunderland, according to Tom Allnutt of the Press Association.

Kane was stretchered off the pitch Sunday after suffering the injury, and if he has to miss any time, Vincent Janssen could replace him in the starting XI.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kane scored the winner in Tottenham's 1-0 win against Sunderland on Sunday, but was also carted off late in the match. He finished with three shots, an aerial won and three successful tackles.

It was an easy goal for Kane, as the ball fell right to him in front of net. That said, his injury is obviously the main takeaway from this match. Against Middlesbrough next week, he would be a good option, but it may be time for Vincent Janssen.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kane scored a goal on three shots during Saturday's 4-0 triumph over Stoke City.

Kane had yet to score through his first three games, and although Saturday's tally came on a fortuitous bounce that set him up just yards from goal, it was very positive for him to get on the scoresheet. Tottenham have still been able to operate at a high rate offensively even without Kane's best form, and if he can build off of Saturday's performance next Sunday versus Sunderland, they could really begin to hit their stride as a unit.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kane had one assist and fired six shots in Saturday's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

It's the first contribution for what should be a massive fantasy season for Kane, who is completely central to everything Spurs do in the attack. He's a high-end option for next Saturday when Spurs face a Liverpool defense that has allowed five goals in two games.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kane did not attempt a shot during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Everton.

Last season's Golden Boot winner played all 90 minutes, but he simply failed to get involved in the match and likely disappointed many fantasy owners in the process. Kane has started slowly in the past, but he remains one of the most prolific goal scorers in the Premier League and will have every opportunity to get off the mark next Saturday versus Crystal Palace.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kane scored 27 goals and added an assist in all competitions in the 2015/16 season.

Kane was scoreless through his first seven matches, but he exploded for eight goals in a seven-match span beginning in late September and never looked back, winning his first career Golden Boot as the Premier League's top scorer. Kane's stellar club form was aided by the emergence of Dele Alli as a supreme attacking talent, and the duo should wreak havoc on the league again next season, after a forgettable Euro 2016 run.
