Matic picked up an assist on two key passes and four dribbles in Saturday's 4-1 drubbing of Bournemouth.

Matic had a nice run to the goal line and passed the ball smartly back to Eden Hazard, who was clinical for the fourth goal. Matic played well, though he doesn't get involved in the attack much, which limits his fantasy upside in most formats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Matic (leg) is available for Saturday's match against Manchester City.

Matic was thought to need another week to recover, but the 27-year-old Serbian is fit ahead of schedule. His playing time has come in fits and starts this season as Guus Hiddink has deployed a different rotation than that of Jose Mourinho, leaving Matic out in the dark with increasing regularity. The holding midfielder isn't much of a goal scorer and his impact doesn't really show up on a fantasy stat sheet; however, his impact to the side is still palpable.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Matic (leg) is out for Saturday's match against Swansea City. However, manager Guus Hiddink hopes to have him available next weekend.

Matic has been on the substitutes bench for each of the past two Premier League matches and has seen his playing time dip considerably since the start of 2016, as he's played the full-90 just three times in 12 matches. He could be available next Saturday for the team's contest against Man City.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Matic totaled an assist and five tackles in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Stoke City.

From a fantasy perspective, this is about as good as it can get for Matic. As an active holding midfielder, the tackles will always be there, but this assist marked just the second time all season that he's been on the scoresheet in any form. Though he's a staple at Chelsea, Matic shouldn't be given fantasy consideration at this point.

Matic is suspended for Tuesday's Champions League match against PSG.

Matic isn't a high-impact fantasy option usually, but his absence will still be felt by Chelsea, who could turn to John Obi Mikel in his absence.

Matic (head) is on the bench Wednesday against West Brom.

Matic reportedly suffered the head injury after he was hit by a throw from a goalkeeper at close range, complaining of dizziness and a headache afterward, but he's recovered in time to at least be a reserve option, though that obviously limits his already low fantasy upside.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Matic is in danger of missing Wednesday's match versus West Brom after suffering a head injury in training.

The Serbian was beaned by a throw from a goalkeeper at close range, and he reportedly complained of dizziness and headaches afterward. Matic seemingly has a good chance to recover over the next two days, but his status for the match has yet to be confirmed one way or another. John Obi Mikel is the logical choice to start in Matic's holding midfield position if he is unable to make it back in time.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Matic blasted two shots off target and added team-leading six total tackles in the 2-2 home draw to Watford on Boxing Day.

The Serbian had a very quiet statistical game but was the main reason for the first Hornets' goal. He made a very clumsy attempt to clear a cross and somehow, untroubled, managed to handle the ball and gift a penalty to Watford. He's been very solid for the Blues, piling up 15 starts already. Nevertheless, he's not a productive fantasy player scoring just once, thus far, this season and is playing as a holding midfielder.
