Mikel recorded an assist on a Nemanja Matic goal in a 3-1 loss to Everton on Saturday.

Mikel has just one Premier League goal in his career coming into the game and it was a friendly assist given to say the least. The defense for Chelsea has been horrendous this season as they have conceded the most goals in the Premier League. With Mikel being the central-defensive midfielder, they'll need him to play further back to help out the struggling defenders. Don't expect much more fantasy production for the Nigerian international going forward.

The final weekend of the Premier League can lead to unusual results, but Sergio Aguero still leads the goal-expectancy chart.

Mikel is back to match fitness and will be available for Sunday's match against QPR, manager Jose Mourinho said Friday.

Despite the return to fitness, Mikel still finds himself behind Nemanja Matic and Ramires on the depth chart, making him a weak fantasy option.

Mikel has recovered from his knee injury, but he is still not match fit and will not play Saturday against Stoke City, manager Jose Mourinho said Friday.

Even when he's fully fit, Mikel is stuck behind Nemanja Matic and Ramires on the depth chart, making him a very limited fantasy option.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mikel (knee) is expected to return to full training after the upcoming international break, manager Jose Mourinho said Friday.

Even when he is fully fit, Mikel is stuck behind Cesc Fabregas, Nemanja Matic and Ramires on the depth chart, with Kurt Zouma also making a play for more playing time in the defensive midfield roles.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mikel came on as a second-half sub, finishing with one interception and 20 passes in 18 minutes during Saturday's 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

Mikel was looking at the potential for more playing time, with Cesc Fabregas held out with a hamstring injury, but it was Ramires who got the start and played 90 minutes. Mikel continues to be a nice piece off the bench for manager Jose Mourinho, but his fantasy prospects remain very limited in nearly all formats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mikel is expected to be available for Saturday's match against Aston Villa after recovering from a head injury, The Guardian reports.

Mikel will be in contention to start, with Cesc Fabregas out for the next two games due to a hamstring injury. Mikel's start is hardly a sure thing, as Ramires is the likely replacement, with Juan Cuadrado another possibility.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mikel (foot) was available off the bench but he did not play in Chelsea's 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday.

Mikel was dealing with a foot injury, but he was at least fit enough to be an option as a sub. He doesn't get nearly enough playing time to warrant much fantasy value in most leagues.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mikel came on for Willian in the 75th minute and assisted on Diego Costa's 90th minute goal during Chelsea's 6-3 rout of Everton on Saturday.

Mikel isn't a regular member of the starting XI and his time off the bench is incredibly inconsistent, making him a fairly weak fantasy option despite the assist Saturday.
