Perez stroke the opener on two shots (both on target) and added three key passes in 79 minutes of play in the 2-1 win over West Ham on Saturday.

Perez was on the finishing side of a magnificent one-touch combination between himself, Jonjo Shelvey and Georginio Wijnaldum to capitalize on the turbulent beginning of the game. Perez is having a nice season so far with five goals and two assists on the season in 20 games total (15 starts). He's been fairly quiet of late, though, and this is his first goal in over a month. Next up for the Magpies is a visit to the stingy Hornets next Saturday.

Perez is one of a handful of players tipped to be on Manchester United's transfer target list in January, reports the Daily Mail.

United manager Lous van Gaal criticized his team's speed, and is monitoring Perez to help fill that gap. Perez scored against Bournemouth last weekend.

Perez scored on his only shot in a 1-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Perez had a nice finish off one of their few counter-attacks and Newcastle were fortunate to escape with a win. He now has three goals and two assists and has been arguably Newcastle's most dangerous player this season. Perez has fantastic foot skills and is great at breaking down defenses and sending in crosses while being able to finish with the best. Look for him to contribute all season for Newcastle.

Perez got off 17 crosses, six key passes, and three competed dribbles in a 0-0 draw to Stoke on Saturday.

Perez was undoubtedly the most dangerous player in this scoreless draw and he showed some fantastic ability here. While he couldn't find the back of the net, the activity is a promising sign for the Magpies going forward. Perez has two goals and two assists this season and will look to add to that total against Bournemouth next Saturday.

Perez picked up a goal and an assist in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Chelsea.

Perez brought down a long ball in the 42nd minute and neatly split two defenders to fire the home side into the lead. The Spaniard then played in Georginio Wijnaldum to put the home side two goals to the good. Perez was starting for just the third time this season and registered his first strike for new manager Steve McClaren. Perez can't be relied upon to start every game and in that sense is risky from a fantasy point of view.

Perez was brought on for Emmanuel Rivière in the 77th minute then was substituted for Steven Taylor after Mike Williamson was sent off in the 88th minute of Newcastle's 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday.

Perez has looked good in the limited time he has seen on the pitch over the first two matches. With the Toon attack lacking to score yet this season it will be interesting to see if manager Alan Pardew begins to tinker with his starting formation which could result in Perez getting more minutes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Perez came on for fellow new signing Emmanuel Rivière in the 83rd minute of Newcastle's 0-2 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.

Perez was one of five Toon players to debut for manager Alan Pardew and despite his late arrival, Perez almost equalized just after coming on. The youngster looked good on the ball, but will likely be limited to a reserve roll in order to ease him into the Premier League.
