Navas (achilles) is doubtful for Saturday's La Liga fixture against Celta, Marca reports.

Navas was a partial participant in Friday's training and with the international break approaching he may be given extra time to gain full fitness. Kiko Casilla earned a clean sheet Sunday versus Real Sociedad and will probably grab another start with the youngster Ruben Yanez backing up if Navas can't make the team at all.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Navas (Achilles) is not in the 18-man squad to face Real Sociedad on Sunday.

Navas was a supreme long shot to start given he hasn't even returned to training after undergoing offseason Achilles surgery, leaving Kiko Casilla to start in his stead.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Navas (Achilles) has yet to return to full training and is highly doubtful to play Sunday against Real Sociedad, ESPN Deportes reports.

Navas hasn't played since the Champions League final, and while he is at least progressing in his recovery, he could miss a number of games as he finishes up his rehab. Kiko Casilla will likely start in his absence.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Navas (Achilles) is unlikely to play in the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla on Aug. 8, but he could be ready for the La Liga opener against Real Sociedad on Aug. 21, ESPN FC reports.

Navas has been sidelined since undergoing surgery on his Achilles earlier this summer, and while he hasn't returned to Europe to be examined by the doctor who performed the procedure, he is fully expected to ramp up his activities in the coming week to allow him to play early in the league season. If he's forced to miss any time, Kiko Casilla will likely fill in.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Navas helped Real Madrid to a second-place finish in La Liga and played a crucial role in their run to the Champions League title last season.

Navas kept 14 clean sheets in league play as Los Blancos finished just one point behind winners Barcelona, but he was able to finish the job in Europe with a shootout victory over Atletico Madrid in the final. Navas proved himself to be the long-term option at the club after David de Gea was so nearly acquired from Manchester United at the beginning of last season, and he should be a valuable fantasy piece now that he has solidified himself in the role. He missed out on Costa Rica's Copa America campaign due to an Achilles injury, but he is expected to rejoin training soon.

Navas will not play for Costa Rica during Copa America because of an Achilles injury, ESPN FC reports.

Navas helped Real Madrid win the Champions League on Saturday, but he is apparently still bothered by the injury and could undergo a procedure to address the issue. Danny Carvajal of Deportivo Saprissa will replace Navas on the Costa Rica squad.

Navas made three saves during the 120 minutes of regular playing time en route to lifting the Champions League trophy in Saturday's penalty shoot-out win over Atletico Madrid.

Navas couldn't make a save during the shoot-outs but fortunately for him and his team Juanfran only managed to hit the left post in the decisive fourth PK for Atletico. Navas will finish his first season as a regular Real starter with 13 clean sheets and 92 saves in 34 La Liga games.

Navas stopped all four shots he faced during Saturday's 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad.

The 'keeper was never seriously tested, but he was up to the task when called upon to keep his third clean sheet in four games. Navas was up to the task in shutting out Manchester City during a goalless Champions League Semi-final first leg in England, and he will be between the sticks once again Wednesday as Real Madrid try to finish the job.
