Wijnaldum tallied an assist coming off the bench in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus Liverpool.

Wijnaldum has had moments of brilliance this season, but he's been used as a substitute in both of the last two games, which obviously limits his fantasy upside.

Wijnaldum garnered an assist from two key passes during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Sunderland.

The midfielder was deployed in a defensive role and made few contributions going forward, but he was able to tee up Aleksander Mitrovic for the tying goal with seven minutes left to play. Wijnaldum is now up to four assists to go along with nine goals this season, but he hadn't factored into a goal in over two months prior to Sunday's and his fantasy stock would seemingly suffer from the positional change.

Wijnaldum produced a fine stat line hauling in one goal, one assist, four shots (one on target), four key passes and five dribbles in the 2-1 victory over West Ham on Saturday.

Wijnaldum made a fine one-touch pass to set up Ayoze Perez to strike the opener. Then he finished, himself, a brutal Magpies' counter attack that started with a brilliant Jonjo Shelvey's long ball. The Magpies seem rejuvenated in the last two games and the winger has an integral role in that. He has two goals and assist in those two games. He's the team's leading scorer and with a total of nine goals and three assists on the season is one of the few fantasy gems in the embattled squad. Next up for the Magpies is a visit to the stingy Hornets next Saturday.

Wijnaldum scored a goal on four shots (two on target) in Tuesday's 3-3 draw with Manchester United.

As the halftime whistle neared, Wijnaldum played a beautiful 1-2 with Aleksandar Mitrovic and made no mistakes on the finish to make the score 2-1. Wijnaldum had two other chances to go for the double, putting one into the boot of David de Gea and the other in the back of the net from on offside position. On a team that struggles to score, the Dutch midfielder is a massive exception, showing terrific touch and creativity on and off the ball to manufacture goals and put pressure on opposing defenses.

Wijnaldum scored a goal on five shots (one on target) in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Liverpool.

After Martin Skrtel's own goal, Newcastle looked to be on the razor's edge, willing to absorb pressure and hope that time elapsed, but a late break by Moussa Sissoko and a perfectly weighted ball found Wijnaldum's boot and a clever flick gave Newcastle the three points. The goal was the Dutch international's seventh of the Premier League season, but his first since his four goal outburst against Norwich City.

Wijnaldum recorded an assist in a 1-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Wijnaldum has been fantastic this season for Newcastle, as he leads the team with six goals and has provided two assists. The most impressive part about that is that his six goals have come on just 17 shots, so he clearly has a great knack for finishing. Without Wijnaldum, it's hard to imagine where Newcastle would be right now.

Wijnaldum sensationally scored four goals in Newcastle's 6-2 win over Norwich City on Sunday.

Wijnaldum put together an absolutely breathtaking display Sunday, scoring twice in both halves. Along with a right-footed shot from close range, the Dutchman put home two headers from inside the penalty box, before capping his performance with a deflected right-footed shot from outside the area. In doing so, Wijnaldum brought his tally to six goals on the season, tying him for second in the Premier League at the moment.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Wijnaldum tallied an assist and took two shots (one on target) in Saturday's 6-1 defeat to Manchester City.

Wijnaldum provided good service to Aleksandar Mitrovic on a total defensive lapse by Man City to give the Magpies the lead. Wijnaldum has two goals and an assist in eight Premier League matches this season and has been a lone bright spot on a miserable Newcastle side this season.
