Morata tapped in Cesc Fabregas' cross to score Spain's only goal of their 2-1 loss to Croatia on Tuesday. Morata finished with two shots and was once again subbed out for Aritz Aduriz, similar to the first game against Czech Republic.

Morata now has three goals in the last two matches, but will have trouble adding to that total next game against Italy. The Italians didn't allow a goal in their first two matches and will be tough to get past for the Spaniards.

Morata will be leaving Juventus after Real Madrid exercised their 30 million buyback option.

Morata was a frequent substitute for Juventus as he made just 16 starts but came off the bench in another 18 matches. The forward took advantage of his opportunities by notching 12 goals and nine assists in those contests. It remains unclear if Real Madrid will keep the 23-year-old for the upcoming campaign or if they will look to send him out on loan or fetch a larger transfer fee from another club.

Morata scored two goals in Friday's 3-0 victory over Turkey at the Euros.

The 23-year-old isn't the typical target man, but after scoring 12 goals and adding 12 assists in all comps for Juventus, Morata scored his fourth and fifth goals in a Spanish kit in just 11 caps. Whether he has the quality to be the man up front Spain needs to go deep into this tournament is to be seen, but on Friday, he was the best player on the pitch, finishing with the skill and quality Spain badly needs. He'll look to build off his winning form against Croatia in the final match of the group stage.

After another successful season for the 23-year-old, Morata continues to draw interest from clubs around Europe in the offseason. He made 34 appearances to go with 16 starts en route to seven goals and seven assists in Serie A play.

Morata has a contract with Juventus until 2020, but a number of clubs have their eye on him including Real Madrid, Chelsea and Arsenal. Put in the right situation, he could be a valuable piece, especially with a team like Arsenal, who are in need of more all-around attacking options.

Morata suffered a leg injury during Spain's Euro 2016 qualifier against Luxembourg on Friday, and it is feared that he may have fractured his fibula, according to Joaquin Maroto of AS.

Morata will obviously undergo significant scans to help determine the severity of the ailment, but a fractured leg could certainly end his season. He has been a very regular starter for Juventus, who will likely go with Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala up front.
