Dier picked up an assist on four crosses and took one shot off target in Sunday's 5-1 season finale loss to Newcastle.

With the title out of their reach the Spurs have crashed and burned with a bang. The whole team was totally unrecognizable playing with no desire and creativity. Dier managed to, at least, salvage his fantasy outing grabbing the assist on Erik Lamela's consolation goal. The holding midfielder turns in three goals, two assists and 10 yellow cards in 37 Premier League starts this season.

Manchester City need just a point to solidify their Champions League spot for next season, which keeps Kevin De Bruyne near the top of the midfielder rankings for the final week of the season.

Dier (concussion) is starting Monday against Chelsea.

Dier passed his late fitness test and will slot right into his regular spot as a defensive midfielder, a position that doesn't come with significant fantasy upside in most formats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dier (concussion) is a late fitness test for Monday's match against Chelsea. "Eric suffered concussion but he's doing well this week," manager Mauricio Pochettino said. "We need to wait until Sunday to make a decision as to whether or not he's available for Monday."

Dier has been the rock in the middle of Spurs' defense and his absence would be a huge blow to their fledgling title chances. Dier has featured in all but one Premier League match this season, missing that match due to a yellow card accumulation. The holding midfielder is currently on nine yellow cards, putting him just one away from an additional suspension.

Dier's status for Monday's match versus Chelsea after suffering a concussion, Sky Sports reports.

The 22-year-old left last Monday's match versus West Brom in the 75th minute after taking a blow to the head, and it remains to be seen if he will have enough time to recover. If Dier is forced to miss out, Ryan Mason seems like a natural candidate to take his place in the first XI.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dier had two shots off target, one cross and a clean sheet in Sunday's 3-0 win over Bournemouth.

Dier has been a key cog in Spurs' dominant midfield and despite playing as a holding midfielder, he's managed to punch in three goals and an assist. His fantasy secret, however, is that he is also listed as a defender in most formats and has been able to also feast on the Spurs' 11 clean sheets, 17 wins and only 24 goals allowed. He has to be very careful, though, because he is on nine yellow cards and another caution before the second Sunday of April will get him an automatic two-match ban.

Dier (leg) is starting Sunday against Bournemouth.

Dier's injury wasn't considered overly serious, so he'll slot right back into the starting XI in his holding midfield role.

Dier made two tackles and two interceptions on his way to helping Tottenham to a clean sheet in their 0-2 win against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday.

After moonlighting as a right-back and center-back, Dier has become a crucial member of Spurs' midfield. Quiet but extremely effective, Dier has been an important part of Spurs' title charge, though his fantasy upside is limited in many formats because of his defensive role.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dier grabbed an assist on his lone key pass and added one dribble and one cross in the 4-1 victory over Sunderland on Saturday.

The youngster is having a very solid season and is a key cog in the Spurs' midfield. He's started 21 of the Spurs' 22 Premier League games this season piling up three goals and one assist. He's not, usually, a fantasy powerhouse but in this Spurs' prolific offense anyone can outburst occasionally, especially in a home game against a weaker defensively opponent. That's not gonna be the case on Saturday, though, when the Spurs are visiting the tough Crystal Palace team.
