Dier grabbed an assist on his lone key pass and added one dribble and one cross in the 4-1 victory over Sunderland on Saturday.

The youngster is having a very solid season and is a key cog in the Spurs' midfield. He's started 21 of the Spurs' 22 Premier League games this season piling up three goals and one assist. He's not, usually, a fantasy powerhouse but in this Spurs' prolific offense anyone can outburst occasionally, especially in a home game against a weaker defensively opponent. That's not gonna be the case on Saturday, though, when the Spurs are visiting the tough Crystal Palace team.

Dier scored in a header in a 2-1 loss to Newcastle on Sunday.

Dier was moved up to more of a midfield role today and he responded nicely. That now gives him three goals on the season and it's clear his defensive abilities make him a threat on corners to finish with headers. His fantasy upside is limited, but he might be a fixture in the Spurts starting XI going forward with his versatility.

Dier (knock) is available to play Sunday against Newcastle.

Dier came off in the first half of Thursday's Europa League match against Monaco, but it was never expected to be serious and he is likely to slot right back into his starting spot in the defensive midfield.

Dier (knock) was replaced in the 41st minute of the Europa League 4-1 win over Monaco after he picked up a slight knock.

Boss Mauricio Pochetino said it was just a precautionary measure, so Dier can recover for the Sunday's clash with Newcastle. He should be right back in the starting XI but while the youngster is a key cog in the Spurs midfield he's not much of a fantasy force.

Dier served his one-game suspension and will be available for selection Sunday against Bournemouth.

The midfielder missed the derby with Liverpool for yellow-card accumulation but should be right back in the starting XI Sunday against Bournemouth. He couldn't help his team prevent a dreadful loss in midweek action against Anderlecht but will look to bounce back in a favorable match-up Sunday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dier is suspended for Saturday's match against Liverpool due to yellow-card accumulation.

Dier has been a consistent starter in the defensive midfield this season, and while he's scored on a few set pieces, his fantasy upside is mostly limited. He'll be eligible to return Oct. 25 against Bournemouth.

Dier scored a goal and was issued a yellow card in Saturday's 4-1 victory over Manchester City.

Dier has shifted nicely into his new role as a holding midfielder. While he's a center-half by trade, his versatility and pace for a center back makes him a good fit as a defensive midfielder. The goal was his second of the season after scoring two in all of last season. Discipline could be a problem in the near future for Dier as in seven Premier League matches, he's accrued four yellow cards.
