Liverpool and Atletico Madrid have mutually agreed to terminate Manquillo's two-year loan, sending him back to the La Liga outfit, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Manquillo found playing time very tough to come by last season, and the summer addition of Nathaniel Clyne only pushes him further down the depth chart. It sounds likely that he will be sent out on a new loan elsewhere, given that he isn't likely to play much for Atletico Madrid anyway.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Manquillo notched two clean sheets during his 10 Premier League outings with Liverpool over the course of the 2014-15 season.

At just 21-years-old, Manquillo was utilized at the onset of the season but his deployment tapered off in the latter half of the year. His unsuccessful acclimation under manager Brendan Rodgers poses problems for his viability next season as it remains unclear if he'll be given another chance to perform in a starter's role.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Manquillo picked up an assist during Monday's 2-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup Third Round.

Manquillo has made 10 Premier League appearances on the season and seems to be on the edge of manager Brendan Rodgers' lineup. Until the 20-year-old is given consistent time on the pitch, he's a risky option in most formats.

Manquillo picked up a clean sheet in Liverpool's 3-0 victory over Tottenham on Sunday.

Manquillo filled in for the injured Glen Johnson (thigh) and had a solid game keeping the Spurs attack off balance. After picking up the first clean sheet of the season, it wouldn't be surprising for manager Brendan Rodgers to keep the back four intact which would result in Manquillo in starting XI going forward. If the Spaniard can keep his place as Rodgers first choice at right back he will have decent fantasy appeal over the next two gameweeks with matchups against Aston Villa and West Ham coming up.

Manquillo was an unused substitute in Liverpool's 1-3 loss to Manchester City on Monday.

Manquillo was second choice to England international Glen Johnson on Monday, but with the later picking up a thigh injury, Manquillo looks like the favorite to start at right back next week against Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Manquillo is in the starting XI for Liverpool's Premier League opener against Southampton on Sunday.

Manquillo is at Anfield after inking a two-year loan from Atletico Madrid, and he'll be relied upon this year to keep the backline tighter than it was last season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Manquillo has officially moved from Atletico Madrid to Liverpool on a two-year loan.

The Reds have been looking to bolster their options at fullback, with the club also reportedly in advanced talks with Alberto Moreno. Manquillo could very well challenge Glen Johnson for playing time at right back this coming season, that is if he shows he can handle the rigors of the Premier League.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Manquillo will undergo a medical Monday before a two-year loan move from Atletico Madrid to Liverpool is completed, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Manquillo will provide depth at right back, a position the Reds were thin at last season. The 20-year-old Spainard had trouble getting first team action with Atletico and will similarly have to fight for a place in manager Brendan Rodgers' starting XI.
