Zardes bagged a goal on two shots and earned an assist from two key passes in Saturday's 5-2 thumping of Real Salt Lake.

The forward endured a slow start to the season, but he now has four goals and an assist in his last four starts and seems to be hitting his stride. He will look to keep it rolling next week versus Sporting KC.

Zardes scored the final goal for LA in their 4-1 victory over Houston on Friday.

Zardesí goal was his third in just six games this season. Zardes is one of the best midfielders in MLS, and if he can keep pace he will continue to be a good option in most fantasy leagues.

Zardes will begin on the bench for the Galaxy as they visit the Vancouver Whitecaps Saturday night.

Zardes is just returning from a 2-game stint with the US National Team. Also missing Robbie Keane, Steven Gerrard, and Giovani dos Santos, the Galaxy may just be throwing in the towel this weekend.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Zardes took three shots and scored a goal during Sunday's 3-1 defeat of the Sounders.

The mid-season additions of Steven Gerrard and Giovani Dos Santos threatened Zardes place in the starting XI, but head coach Bruce Arena has switched his formation to a 4-4-2 which allows Zardes to play on the far right wing behind forward Robbie Keane and ahead of defender A.J. DeLaGarza. The Galaxy are poised to score a plethora of goals this season and it appears that Zardes will maintain his previous value if Sunday's outing is an indication of things to come.

Zardes will leave the Galaxy following Saturday's game against San Jose to join the U.S. Men's National Team in preparation for the Gold Cup.

Zardes recently won Player of the Week honors from the MLS and will take that momentum into international play for the majority of July. Fellow forward Alan Gordon is expected to see more time on the field during the impending absence of Zardes.

Zardes had his best outing of the season Saturday against the Union, scoring a goal and tallying two assists during the 5-1 victory.

Zardes reentered the starting XI for the first time since May as a result of his international stint with U.S. Men's National Team in Europe. With Zardes named to the provisional roster for the Gold Cup as well, there's a possibility that he'll also miss the majority of MLS action in July.

Zardes (international duty) is available off the bench against the Crew on Saturday.

Zardes just recently rejoined the club after playing in Europe with the US Men's National Team and manager Bruce Arena is likely limiting his workload to prevent fatigue later in the season.
